Advice please? I have 3 options available, which to take?

Hey guys! First i want to thank you for all of your advice when I first joined - I didn't realize then that a Chinese scoot could be a bad move if you aren't a die-hard DIY kind of person, or had someone local who works on them until you told me. I had been looking for a Vespa-ish looking clone, a cheap one, and I work too much to be monkeying around with trying to keep it in working order. That said, between advice here and at ModernBuddy forums I decided to post on craigslist my base requirements:
 
" 50cc scooter / moped wanted - $1000 (fayetteville)

Title, running, and no malfunctions. Send info with price, year, model, miles, and make. If you cannot email pictures, I will not respond. I have to see the item to consider it. I cannot receive pics by cell. I am a serious buyer, this is to be my daily rider. All offers with pictures will be considered."

My options offered to me are:

A) a 2014 Sym or Lance Mio or Cali Classic for $2,100 + fees and cost of helmet and such

B) a 2008 Sym Mio, one owner (adult), all records and title, all maintenance records, low miles, ridden weekly, pristine condition. Bought for his son to ride, son married and wifey thinks 2 wheelers are a death notice.
 so dad's giving up hope for them riding together Is including cost of a new helmet in deal.

C) a 2013/2014 Online bought Chinese scoot delivered + PDI to be done locally, + whatever fees can be tacked on by local guy, + cost of helmet and such.

I'm thinking about the '08 Mio, it is the color I would have picked, price is good, and KBB has it listed as a $1,280.00 used bike...but it's 6 years old....what do you think, guys?
Thanks for any opinions you have, I'm buying whatever it is in 3 days when the tax return hits the bank - yay, no more walking home from work!!!

If you are considering a brand new sym why not a brand new genuine

My only thoughts on sym is the issues that were had when Carter brothers were the importers

I know they have 2 different importers now c an east and west coast one

Always buy quality if you can. Sym is a better choice than a Chinese scooter would be. If you are willing to buy a new scooter, remember it is just like a car, the minute it is used it drops in value and is a money loss. If you don't mind taking the hit on depreciation go for a new anything you want.

The thing to think about on a 6 year old scooter has the belt tires and hoses been replaced in the last 3 years
They may look good and spec good but the rubber gets hard and glazed 3 to 5 years is the life span of any rubber part

I have ridden on old tires and it may seem fine on perfect dry roads but once they get a little damp or you get a bit aggressive then you find out fast how bad hard glazed tires are

Tires can be a big expense if you don't do any work your self
There can be a couple hours labor to get them off and on the scoot
As well as the price of the tires
