Hey guys, I have a 2009 Eton Sport 50. It was given to me not running. I cleaned the carb, put new gas in, put a new battery in and it started right up. After riding down the block and back I noticed there was oil leaking out of where the camshaft is. I also noticed there wasn't a anything covering the camshaft. I looked online and it seems there is supposed to be a cover on the left side that covers the camshaft and also has a kickstart(Yeah, I like kickstarts) My question is if it(cover) isn't on would it leak or would that mean I have a worn out camshaft or something else? Thank you in advance for any advice.

No cover equals lots of oil mess.

So my thought was to get the new cover and see if it still leaks and if it does I am thinking I have a bad camshaft and need to order that?

If the cam is bad it won't run well, oil should not leak because of a cam.
