Well it's going to be a slow commute for several days. They are in the process of chip sealing about a six mile stretch of the county road I ride on to work. I could take another route but it's to far out of my way. On the way home yesterday some idiot on a 'crotch rocket' was doing about 50 on the loose gravel; I half way expected to hear on the news that someone piled up their motorcycle. Around here after about 3-4 days they sweep up the loose gravel and then spray a 'fog coat' over the chip seal to seal everything down.

That sucks. I live in the country so there is a lot of that around here. Gotta be careful because they tend to miss a lot of loose gravel in intersections.

and the worst part of it the pebbling is just a waste of money just like the "cold" mix roads
they redid the road in front of my house last summer with the cold mix and even after rolling for almost a month i was leaving marks with the scooter
i guess that is the down side to living out in the country is the crappy roads
