My friend has an E-Ton sport 50. I helped him put a 100cc BBK on it. It ran like a top for 300 miles. HE left the switch on and run the battery dead. He said he tryed to jump it off and then he put it on a charger. Since then it wouldnt run. I checked everythingand finally maually choked the carb and it fred up. Ran like a champ. He ordered an electric choke for it and got it to run for a few minutes. Now it will not run at all. He ordered a new carb for it and still no luck. It has a good spark and its getting fuel. It almost starts but just wont. I mean the starter speeds up and it sounds like its running but as soon as u left off the starter it quits.. What in the world can the problem be. Thanks for alll help

check the valve adjustment
Don't forget the valve need to be adjusted with the motor cold.

You need spark, fuel and compression for it to run. You have the spark and the fuel, now you need to see if the compression is there. So that is why I suggested the valves need checking. On these things the valve adjustment is a frequent problem.

Then the timing?
See if the pick up on the stator is loose.

Well, you said he jumped it, he may have messed it up when he did that. I never bought into it but a lot of people claim that if you jump it and the motor is running with a car you might burn up something.

Certainly if it is hooked up backwards problems will happen.

Considering most of our scoots are in the 100 watt catagory and cars put out over 2000 watts Even when hooked up right the extrajuice cooks things

Wow. This is the first post I ran across about Eton sport 50. I own one and plan on doing the same upgrade. My problem is I have no clue if they use the 64mm or 69mm valves. Do you know? Or better yet, do you know where the bbk where bought from? I need a top end replacement so rather than going stock I want the extra power of the bbk to carry my fat butt.
I have jumped mine from cars also but never with the car running.
