The Gods bless you for showing some real informative articles/links for Chinese scooters, I will be thoroughly reading these. Thank you for replying to my post in Daddue11's forum, I seriously appreciated this info you shown. I was told that too, I DO have a driver's permit to practice driving a car, but I Am reading the Motorcycle Operator Manual to try for a permit for a motorcycle. I once told my situation of never having that nerve to drive a car even though I am able to pass the written test several unnerving times (SEVEN damnable times to be exact >.< lol). To me it just FEELs more confident-wise sitting on a bike(childish maybe?) Anyhoo, at the DMV, I asked one lady working there and she had to ask the head admin. and even he couldnt tell me what exactly I could do. so this leads me (in order to have that Independent Expression of Life, I unfortunately never was given during my young teen years. I Know, there's no whining in Scootering LMAO, bad jk.) Try a Trike. (my father suggested this idea and here I have been ever since, learning all about Trikes) and coming across 2 awesome looking designs that look alien, the first i spot is this questionable one (I only say that considering how bad reviews are with the actual online-dealership I actually bought it from, I wont say their name out of respect and or have a debate about it)which took me several searched sites to even come up with a pinpointed name of a Reverse Trike brand, a Sunny Reverse Trike from China, it was 150cc smaller than the one I actually finally ordered. I am like, looking things all over, trying to do my research on the manufacturer and becoming discouraged by reviews over it but dont see anyone posting videos of it when riding them, I come across Cam-Am Spyders and OMG the RSS model is so beautiful, but freaking expensive as hell and too powerful, and thoroughly a large v-twin engine motorcycle. I nearly gave up looking for anything that could take me out of my hole in the wall apartment and just never leave on my own, (im too proud to ride the stinkin' Public Buses). Long story short (I Apologize for such a lengthy post), I finally come across this wicked looking 300cc (same manufacturer, apparently which has a bad rep. dealers) Roadrunner 300 (and I had a time finding that model name). My father is like "ya know, son. these bikes look so impressive. the website shows a video fully functional ride and how well it handles. Don't be put-off from a couple bad reviews, because just like Honda and even Kawasaki, they too at first were given bad reviews, it's just Americans. son, whatever is different at first will be misunderstood. Anything foreign will get a bad rep. and to be honest, what it really is are the one's who don't consider something like this in the same class as their motorcycles, like those Harley Davidson bikers. They'll just bad-mouth anything that's not their style." and he's basically right. so that's my story. all I like to see is some YouTube vids of people enjoying their own Sunny's (in particular, the Roadrunners lol). thank you for your time.

oh yea, I forgot to say, I will try and get some pics of my Silver Roadrunner 300, which i SO plan to custom paint into a wicked Joker themed reverse trike. along with my Modular Motorcycle Helmet I will be getting and customizing. (I know, jumping the gun before i even get the trike maybe, but that is the whole idea right? lol)

I read these links above with great wonder, what kind of mind compares Chinese bikes to a Honda.
china bikes are for mechanics, Honda's and Beverley's are for folks who just wanna ride.
wanting to work on a bike all the time is a fine thing, but never confuse that with living a whole life, there are other things in life to do then return defective parts to scrappy, whom the last time i bought from, stopped even asking me to return the broken at the factory crap parts they sent me, she just sent new regulators 3 times at my request by phone (thanks ohla)
these bikes are for wrenchers, these forums are for wrenchers
wrenchers should call them selves wrencher's, its not a thing to be ashamed of
and not victimize those with other goals in life, like riding the darn thing instead of working on them.
my best real love to you all, ride safe and ride wise
PS never put 93 in your gas tank, 93 is just low test with a spark retardant and that spark retardant leaves tons of carbon in a head that burns gas badly no mater what brand it is, and at a lower temp, that's why its good for bore outs with thin cylinder walls, it burns cooler cause it burns delayed and extends the life of a big bore by running cooler, as a big bore has less metal to transfer heat to the fins.try 89, sometimes that is a good thing

There is some truth to what you say Terra. I think back to the day when I was a kid with my first Honda. It was a little 90cc that I bought to do things with that I should have bought a 160, I beat it to death, broke the fork, killed the tranny. My father who was a car mechanic helped me with it, I should say he fixed it. I learned a lot by having that Honda and breaking it up. Just as I learn a lot by having to fix my first car replacing head gaskets on it several times. It gave me the confidence to take on almost anything that went wrong with all the cars, trucks and motorcycles I would own.
I have always said that if you can not work on it, you should buy something better than a Chinese scooter or motorcycle. If you like working on them they offer opportunity to get your hands into the motor.

well i finally came back after waiting til i finally received my Sunny (officially called a Ningbo DongFang Lingyun Vehicle) DF300TKB Roadrunner 300 (obviously 300CC) Reverse Trike. (dang thing took nearly 2 months to finally get to me, but i'm not bitter lol, i finally got it). but the manual is a little confusing to me and even my father who is idly helping me around it. his main concern is what exactly does it take? We dont believe all scooters/motorcycles are the same (chinese made or otherwise) I been all over the net to possible pinpoint the exact model (Cubic Centimeter Engine size and all details) which i found this nice website for and decided to join it. Today we questioned the oil (for first time start up of my truck delievered boxed up chinese motorcycle) and i thought we had some answers. but today there are a little difference of opinions. so i figure why not just give a lil detail of my situation and see if i can get some seriously appreciated help about it. once i get my butt on that thing, i tend to get a GoPro helmet cam and record my trips. (though however short the trips will seem to be, according to the manual recommends to drive lol) [thats another thing i gotta learn too, uploading pics and vids to share here >.< though the buttons on top here seem pretty explanatory]

not so much over the tech stuff i Said, but the cultural side.
But before i start i want to truly welcome some of the new folks i see here, cause you new guys of the past few months have left some great post and made this forum shine a lot brighter not to leave out as well some great handles---fallinmythos, Blankman, workdog, razorfitness, just a thought stuff like that rings my bells-cool stuff
anyway back to eating crow, back in the bluefront days, this forum rocked bigtime, cause like doug every body could relate to him, plus he could cook deserts like a wizard, could have the manners of a saint and was a certified motor cycle mechanic and a bit of a graphic artist, and had endless patience helping folks- really well rounded fella,
And while this drew great jealousy from the cavemen among us, but even that was a compliment to him.
my point being, all fixing and no play makes china bikes a dull subject.
like bluefront, a lot of you guys are a lot deeper then you let on here as well, most likely cause men bash each other so much and learn early the play ground bully's can't stand a mature adult.
never let the mindless macho cave men stop you from showing your more creative side, the creative guys get the best girls, make the most money, the best scooter mechanic I know in South Carolina, burns incense all day long in his busy shop, is just one case in point.
you new guys to these forums, keep in mind being a rebel, means braking away from all this "living life in a angry macho box crap" post your hobbies, speak proudly of adoring your wife, the beauty of autumn, the mystery of the night, the joy of being you, a person like no other in the world.
and again fallinmythos, Blankman, workdog, razorfitness, just a thought WOW great stuff, and brave as fire too
ride wise and ride safe and never be afraid to drink at the sanctuary of Hercules cause some mental wimp is afraid to be different and go there with you

i return to see a pleasant post which has inspired me to share Just A Thought or two (or several unplanned amounts of pennies, puns galore intended lol sorry). a week ago I passed my Motorcycle written test, (with much confident ease it was laughable) and taken my Roadrunner 300 "scooter" (in Illinois apparently it's a motorcycle if over 150ccs and mine has 300, im not CC savvy so be gentle with me here XD) out on a test drive (with caution that i didnt attract too much attention) and beheld how quick i taken to natural urges with the trottle to rev out. but just as quick i instantly grew accustom to the touch it needs given to bear in a precise steady (according to the speed limit signs lol) in a constant speed. So soon i will try for my actual riding course test. also i like to note to you, I bought this behemoth of scooters (again, forgive me, for not being scooter savvy, the thing looks huge to me lol) to actually get out on my own and needlessly rely on friends and family to chauffeur me around in times of need and to be a burden, to explain, I since born, have Spinal Bifida Occulta, thank God i was never wheelchair ridden, which over my young years broke my confidence in ever learning to drive a 4wheeled vehicle (asides my condition which renders my ability to trust in my footing, which makes me question how much to press the accelerator, unlike i can confidently feel naturally with a throttle at my hand) which i came to the conclusion, after years of bitter depression slowly creeping in me, deciding it (should have decided YEARS ago) was time i look for SOMETHING. Anyways, long story short(ened, sorry) I decided too to post what exactly did i actually get myself into (which some other posts and whatnot slightly has me on edge at what decissions i hav made concerning the choice i done at tad nervous but i hope this site will guide me.... but here's my first posting pic all the same.

Just a thought,
Outstanding!
Who would have ever thought that a scooter would be the thing that would set free a person with a mobilty challenge. All the controls at your finger tips and no need to rely on feet to stop you or accellerate. Here is to hoping it is a long and trouble free experience for you.

Just a thought, sorry about the delay in responding. The bike looks great, and you look great on it.
Craisin, one other thing that I found with a scooter and a mobility scooter (my mom has one of those) is that you don't have to plug a scooter in the charge the batteries every few hours of use like you do with the mobility scooter.
