Want to ask everyone what some causes of hesitation are as you go to speed up from still idle.
I am not getting back fires but engine if cold really hesitates then speeds up.
And thanks fellas, cause this is so cool to come here and not have a war break out
over the best way to do something.
as for above question, i bet it could be many things, seafoam seems to have helped but that stuff is expensive as i ride 60 miles a day many times

I just cleaned the idle jet, so valves are next
choke cuts in after 4-5 minutes, could it still have a malfunction??

Im not positive on how the choke works on the four strokes It may be fulling going to the off after the few minutes but as it cools down it may not be fully going to the n Do you understand what im saying

Yes, the choke when cold is actually on and blocking some air flow, after warming up for a few minutes it opens the airflow up and lets it breath better.
I understand that some of this behavior can be due to it not being given enough throttle off the line as well, try riding a little more aggressively from the line and then let off on the gas a little. Or do you ride like you stole it to begin with?

There is a issue, but what eludes me.
as for me stealing, you remember in autumn of "82" you went to get ice cream for a pretty girl you latter married, you parked your bike out front of the drug store and came out and it was gone?
well, this is that bike, but i bought a new seat for it, what kind of gas where you running in it back then, maybe that's the problem now.

about 2 weeks ago i was unhappy about the performance and hesitation of my Solana 50
I thought i may be thinking about all wrong cause the general advice bigger jet
and i thought if i put a stiffer spring in the diaphram then the slide will open slower so the air speed will be faster and it will drag more fuel.
so i found a spring out of some carb that was longer and when installed would be stiffer and bingo it worked
i have other tricks to try but they cost money
