OK, Here is my take on your situation,as I just almost had the same thing happen to mine, after 12K mile on a tiny 49cc scooter,I took it apart to install a racing variator from Scrappy and the roller eventually eat into the sides of the aluminum and at some point they just get to weak and will break off,so I would go with a stock replacement with different weights ,as they do make a big difference in how the scooter takes off. They are like 60$bucks but you do get a different angled variator and it comes with slider instead of roller!,it is teflon coated and has heavy duty red thick plastic High performance glide bushings Here is a link to them, just tell them that Jason Spidel sent you and you may get a little better price,as they are a super company with great customer support man.Mo,is there tech support guy and he know his stuff,so check em out and see what you want to do,? Good Luck, Jason/gy6forlife www.scrappydogscooters.com/139QMB_50cc_Performance.html
