well not long after i got my scoot i switched out my stock 14 gram rollers from a cheap set of yellow 10 gram rollers, i had to trim flashing off the sides so they would fit and slide properly and man i was stoked it accellerated great still had my topend and all was good but over about 3k miles thye developed flat spots etc . well i finnaly got around to ordering new rollers . this time i bought some ncy 10 gram's . when i got them i noticed the quality differance they wewre smooth and shinny and just dropped in no trimming were perfect . when i took it for the test drive wow i gained 10mph on the steepest hills acceleration was linear and smoothe the bike felt much torqier the bike now handles more like a sport bike than a scooter, and heres the kicker . i gained about 3mph on the topend so it went from 68mph on the chinometer to 72-73 mph so i figure approx 62-63 real mph not bad for a ten inch scoot with a 260lb rider and only rollers, exaust, jetting and airfilter mods.

ok well minor correction on the way home from work today on a long steep downhill i kissed the 75mph indicated mark so by guestimate around 65 ... at that point it was screaming it went from vrooooooommmmm to OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW LOL yea i need to get a tach and gps im gonna be sad when i finnaly kill this motor its a rev monster i think its that way cuz i flogged the hell out of it when i was breaking it in so it knew what to expect no gentle breakins for me last time i had it apart the rings looked great evenly worn no thin spots so ima gonna keep on floggin and confusing cagers as i pass them uphill lol

Name brand can make a difference, I will explain in the General forum as much as I can. I will call the topic fake parts.

Get rid of the rollers no matter how good of quality they are and get good sliders and you'll love them even better. I never thought they made a difference until I bought some now will never use anything else. JR Do sliders change the rpms compared to the same weight rollers? What differences in operation do you notice. Based on what you and others have experianced, I expect to go to sliders. Maybe after I get done with some approximate variator tuning with cheaper rollers.
