i guess i didnt explain good enough, ive looked everywhere i can possibly think of. now i can find diagrams ,schematics etc.. but none including the shop manual for this scooter have the name of the terminal where the where the wire is supposed to be connected. the terminals on the switch are marked , battery, ignition, accesory, but i need to know where red goes where green goes where violet goes etc... and thats why im here asking . ive alread done those things that have been sugested .so if someone knows the answer id appreciate it. but suggestin why dont i try this or that isnt what i asked for.so thanks but im lookin for someone who knows what the F there talkin about

there is no accesory on a scooter and there is no igntion as that is taken care of by the starter button
i belive the green is a ground wire the red should be power comeing in im not sure what the purple wire is maybe its the kill wire
you have to remeber that the key switch on a scooter is basicly a battery on and off switch
sounds like you have a 3 way key switch and it not what you need

I recommend you find a dealer near you and order the OEM replacement part. You can fry electrical components trying to rig in the wrong switch. Here's a list of all the dealers in US: genuinescooters.com/dealers.htmlYou didn't mention what model you have. Is is a Buddy?
