I have a box of 22LR that has been in my collection for a while and I remember getting it for a couples bucks less many years ago. (if you can't read it , it says $7.97)

every time i go to the local fleet farm store i'll go over to the sporting goods section and look for .22's. they have a spot on the shelf but it's always empty. when they do have them it's 100 round boxes and it's a 2 box limit. other caliber ammo is starting to show up, finally.

Strange isn't it.
When I was in Texas I picked up several boxes of 225 22lr at the local wal mart. Here you can't find any. You are right about the other calibers to, they are showing up a lot more.

What's the pull on that, about 6 pounds? I love a .22, but for some reason I'm a fan of the classic .38 double action.
My neighbor and best friend is a corrections officer here in Vermont, so we go to the State Police range here in Saint Johnsbury all the time. They have some fun toys that they let us play with when we get bored with our glocks.

Trigger pull will vary. I have no idea what any I have owned is, none have been hard to pull. I have a 45LC revolver that has a very light trigger pull, requires an experoenced shooter that pays attention to what he is doing, breathing on it is dangerous.

My, my, the venerable S&W Centennial has come a long way over the decades! That is one sweet revolver! Being a .22 you can afford to shoot it enough to get "good" with it... LOL! Great for fun-shooting, but with the best hyper-velocity rounds, it still is effective enough to get a miscreant's attention! Shoot safe, and ENJOY! Leo in Texas PS: Yup, NRA folks are generally friendly and really decent. And agreed that the best way to survive a shootout is to avoid it... But sometimes you just cannot. That's when the practice pays off. Just for the record, I don't hate GUNS, I really like all the design and workmanship they encompass... It's the doggone BULLETS that bother me... LOL! I worked at the NRA years ago, they were mostly very kind folks, this freaked me out, i mean really kind people, nature oriented, and gentle today tho that has changed a lot, and its the military nuts, not military that did it back when i was there frankly, I think the whole dam country was a kinder nation then, now that we have Halloween every day for breakfast lunch and dinner in art, movies and love, I simply trust no one till they show me they still have a heart, guns will never save this nation, the military will never seek peace, we used to be a nation that made the waltons the number one TV program in America.
its a gentle hearted human who makes guns work, concealed weapons permits safe and less women raped, we no longer have enough self esteem and kindness to pursue those things, we have made a airhead culture that feels empty till it is a hero.
this hero crap has become a addiction, and we have invented a lot of false enemy's to get our fix, fireman starting fires, cops planting drugs on people all over you tube, not to forget the thousands with head injury and no medical care, who turned to pot for relief and landed in jail.
I love my 16 shot 9mm Beretta, but i have a heck of a time anymore finding folks i show it to who know its proper place in the human psych, a good loving family up bringing is the best defense there is, its so cool to come here some times and see you saner guys who often live that, when the last of you are gone, this country is over.
