About a year agoI was looking for some parts and this chic I was with knew of a place way out in the sticks about 60 miles or so from my house so I was like yea lets go check it out. I found a 94 Elite SR with a key that looked really good to be sitting out at an atv/salvage place. I asked them how much they would sell it for and they said it wasnt for sale and that they were supposed to fix it for someone but call back in a few weeks to find out more. Well I tried calling for months with no answer so I was like to * with it. I posted an ad on CL a week or so ago that I could repair scooters, atvs, motorcycles etc and last week this guy brought me a 04 rebel to work on. We got to talking and he said he used to have a elite he bought new and that he took it to a shop for a leaky gas tank and the place never fixed it so after a year he just took them the title. I was like was this place in the sticks in baldwyn MS and he was like yea I like 5 miles from there O.o Then I told him how I tried to buy it a year ago hahhah Offhand I told him it was too bad he didnt still have it I would so fix his Rebel in trade for the scooter. Well he went by there and asked if they still had it and would sell it back to him and they was like you can just have it back Out of all the possible ways the situation could have turned out, he picked it up this morning and is on his way to my house with it as I write this mmmwwwhahhaha Mere coincidence? I think not. Will post pics up in a few hours of my new ride

Spiritual laws dictate, You reap what you sow. ..and nothing happens by accident either.. Witnessed these kinds of things 100's of times. Similar to how I got my Kat.. although that was over 12 years, rather than 1. That's pretty cool.. Don't forget to snap us a "Before" pic when it comes in!

Personally I think everything happens by accident and that there is no plan. Luck doesn't hurt a thing. RD

The truth is still absolute and unshakeable regardless of people's beliefs and opinions. If one is going to stand on something, it would be best if it were solid. =o)

I am pagan so while I do not believe that our lives are predestined or anything like that I do believe that everything in our lives is the result of certain choices we make like Einsteins theory of realtivity, for every action there is an equal and opposite. While a greater power does exert some influence in our lives we are largely responsible for our own actions. I like to think that if I do good things good things happen and if I want something enough reality has a way of allowing my will to manifest itself based on my choices and the infinity probabilities that exist At any rate I will post up a seperate thread for the Elite when I get the pics ready etc

Looking forward to seeing what you got.
I hope the motor was closed up, if not you might find critters inside someplace.

Cleaned up the plastics today but nothing fine detail just clean lol Since the motor makes an awful clattering sound I figured I would save it for a rainy day and access to a case puller. I took the engine off my spare spree with the arreche carb and put that on there with a slightly longer/stiffer china shock I had laying around so i can use the Elite shock when i put the motor back on the Spree since I was using a spree shock made my rear sorta off center. Finally got everything put back together and bolts hunted down to replace the missing ones, she rides good only thing I noticed is the headset is slightly off from center but I will figure that out later when i do a paint job and heat gun the ABS Important thing is everything is there, it runs, and all the elctricals work WooT Attachments:

For real Rebel, the Zuma was exactly the same way as well as the SE50

How do they get that way, laying over in a puddle or is it just the way it goes with the wet weather.

I imagine they were left laying over on their sides, if they had been left standing it probably wouldnt have happened. Heck I bought a motor from the junkyard with the side cover completely off with the pullys etc in way beter condition hahhaha
