Im changing to a 4 wire DC CDI so I am making changes to the 12 volt DC System
So after the proposed changes the ignition key will turn on a relay that will turn on the CDI plus the electric petcock plus the enrichner.

The petcocks I'm familiar with are vacuum powered. The enricher should be a 12 volt.

Yes Rebel I bought a new vacumnm petcock but it was same as the old one
So about 6 months ago I replaced it with a fuel solinoid off a car on LPG.
i was going to use an electric fuel pump off a radio controlled plane
Kiwis will use anything they can
The electric set up is good going uphills it stay open no matter if the vacumn drops

OK, new one to us Yanks then. most of the time here when we get tired of the vacuum petcock, we just put a manual valve from a riding lawn mower inline and just have a gravity feed. There are some small fuel pumps you can get at auto parts places if you need an electric fuel pump if your fuel tank is under the floorboard, otherwise gravity is usually good enough, unless you have a fuel injector..

Yes Rebel I thought of using a manual fuel tap but Im a forgetful guy.
My scooter is not much to look at and I weigh 130 kgs and its still 50cc
This is the slowest machine Ive had.
But it goes a quicker than when I first got it
My other scooters have been motorbikes repowered with china 4speed 4 strokes
The best one was a RM125 with 72cc china power do 60kmh in second gear

I like the electric solenoid idea, just never have seen it done.
It would be nice if you posted some photos of the installation.

hope you can see the fuel solenoid has been ecased in rubber as it sits on the crankcase to maintain a fall in the system so gravity can do its thing Attachments:

They are drum brake vents. I was going to put them on the variator cover but only the small one will fit
