Riddle me this lol...
Turn the key to on and you have a constant relay ticking sound.. like a relay opening and closing on its own.. Sounds almost exactly like the turn signal relay...
Push the starter button and presto engine starts but the ticking is still there..?
scooter runs fine, turn signals work, horn works, lights all work.. just this constant sound of a relay opening and closing and its in perfect timing too
tick .. tick .. tick .. I would almost guess I have a old clock ticking away under my guages
Any idea on what that is? turn the key to off and it stops.. so I know its a relay or something electrical ticking.. but nothing seems broken?

No idea at all, but start unplugging things one at a time and see what you find.

ughh...
Gotta tear the front end off again to get to stuff. The low beam filament on left side bulb burned out 2 days or so ago. But this ticking noise started today. So I don't think its related.
What else besides the turn signals has a relay on it. Starter has one too right. It works though so i'm still lost.

Flasher unit is generally in the cowling and the starter relay is under the seat bucket. Not always though.

It _could_ be a electric fuel pump, some models tend to tick in a similar way as a flasher relay. But it would be the first time I have heard about one on a Chinese scooter, they all tend to have vacuum operated pumps if any. But the sound would not come from the dash then....
What scooter model is it?

this model has no electric fuel pump on it. The ticking is coming from under the front fairing.
I am going to go out again today and take a listen before i rip it off and look it over... I have a gorilla alarm system installed but it still works just fine so im not sure if it ticks or what.. I dont know what in that alarm could make a ticking noise though lol going to test it out

So i went out today and changed the oil out and checked over the scooter.. Tick is gone now... LOL
I don't know what it was but I did notice that now the entire bulb is blown for the left side high/low
so I am wondering if that bulb being half blown was causing it and once it finally blew the high beam element it stopped?? I don't know LOL
