hey guys back when i got my scoot, it had some abrasions on it so to fix it, and to make it mine i figured paint was the way to go. but the black was to easy, and i figured everyone would do just black accents so i got me some drywall tape and started to play. so seein as i had the black already on, i put on the tape in one direction, being careful to line it up, kinda time consuming but i had the radio playin and i was in the shop so i was happy and nervous at the same time. i wasnt sure how it would turn out. once i had all the tape in one direction i painted it aluminum color very shiny silver, then i retaped in the other direction, same deal as before, once done with that i then hit it with a darker gray, i still didn't know how it would look so then i hit certain areas with black again. when i was done i removed the tape and put a clear on, oh by the way i used spray cans.the tape is the most exspensive part but i do it for a living so i have some laying around , well i thought it was a cool look kindalike snakeskin imo and then i just started to paint everything i own lol it was easy to do but a leap of faith at the same time. i dont have any when it was taped up unfortunately but i think you can see what i did i built a air scoop and painted that too i even did my helmet here it is in tape

Thanks for posting that, I especially like it on the intake scoop. Looks like a good idea for accent on trim.
