I have a SunL scooter that I am looking to put an extended swing arm on, full size motorcycle rear wheel, air ride suspension for totally raising and lowering the scooter. Something like the red scooter I'm the picture. If anyone can point me in the right direction to a site that might show me how to do these kind of modifications I would greatly appreciate it. I think I can buy an extended arm GY6 engine, but I'm not sure how to extend the engine mounts and still have it hinged yet also be powerful enough to soon the larger wheel with enough power to zip my 400 lb butt around town. Lots of GY6 modifiers will fabricate an extension for a stretched look. The only GY6 I know of that will take a lager wheel is the GY6 B like the Kymco People 150 and the Lance Phoenix that come with 16 inch wheels.
I'm sure that someplace out there you can find a custom scooter forum that is teaming with info, I just have not been to one. I'll take a look for one.

good luck with the project the scretch get out the welder and have at it
as for the larger rear wheel there are a couple issues first off is case clearance you will need a case that will allow the larger rear whel then you also have to worry about getting it geared right for tthe larger rear tire

I couldn't find a forum for doing this kind of customization, seems all the scooters you see online that have this done to them are in Japan.

I think Joe posted a link to an adapter on ebay to mount a fat tire in a thread once, problem is that it does not do any good to get a taller wheel on.
