please define cold as we dont know where you are from
if its turing over just fine (the engine is spinning fast enough) if its realy cold the oil may be thick and slow it down try giving it a little gas while you are trying to start it

I think he is in North Carolina.
The 50cc one I had like that was cold blooded too, always was hard to start the first time.

Ok thanx for the info, I've tried giving it gas while cranking and still no start went outside this morning to start it and it was 54 degrees out and after a few second's of cranking it fired up with no problem Would the CDI have any thing to do with that? ?? What else could i change on it to improve this problem???

This is a stock 50 right? You might check your enricher. When it starts does it high idle for awhile, 30 seconds to a minute, and then settle down to a lower idle speed? If not the electric enricher might be at fault. If it's all stock and you've never adjusted the idle mixture that might help. All these scooters are set pretty lean to pass emissions.
The Iridium plug will help the starting and idle, that's what they do best, but it's not the instant fix if there's another problem.

I'm a little late to the party but it's pretty new right? Have you checked the valves. If they're OK I would change the plug, dump carb cleaner or Seafoam in the gas tank and ride it. New Chinese scooters can be funky when new and just need to bed everything in.

Still could be the enricher in my opinion. Also if the the stator pick up is off it could be messing up the timing. You did check the valves didn't you? And how about the plug, have you put the iridium one in it? As far as the cdi goes, they tend to work or not work no in between stuff. The coil can hit and miss. Did you download one of the service manuals for it? The Tank manual is pretty good, you can download it here, it is something like 28 mgb, the carb stuff starts on page 52 I think, on my computer is says page 57 but the index says 52. www.scooterdynasty.com/manuals/Tank%20GY6%20Service%20Manual.pdfYour enricher looks something like this
