Hey guys, I am thinking of buying a 1979 motobecane mobylette 50v for $200. From what I have seen they are going between $500-$1000.
Body looks good. He says it runs, but needs tune up.
Think it's worth the price? I would love to have a project for restoration.

If it runs it may well be. I know that in some parts of the country, like San Francisco, those things can be worth a grand if it is fixed up.
Only buy it if you feel the you want to have a project bike to fix up though.

then go for it, the $200.00 will not be that much after you start putting new parts tires and paint on it.
