Just what are you testing? What is the scooter doing, does it crank? Do you have lights?

no spark is the issue rebel
swapped cdi and coil and hoped that was the problem guess not no spark
so i started to try and test everything but this VOm im not even sure if im on the right setting i think i am theres 3 wires that come from stator to a quick disconnect white, yellow, green well my green is just straight , not to diconnect, then it says there should be a black/red and also a blue wire also coming from stator well ok i have the black/red but my other wire is red/white shouldnt be a big deal
thread said to test black/red wire and should get 50v-100v im only getting 25-26 so im not sure if the staotr is broke or IF i have the VOM on the right setting
im so dumb

The CDI and coil definitely work.
Trace the red wire from the positive terminal of the battery to the connector which goes to the coil. It should be a single wire. Check the continuity of the wire. (Use the Resistance setting, you should get 0 ohm resistance when you test the wire).
Take the voltmeter and put it between the positive and negative wires which plug into the coil. Leave the coil unplugged. Put the voltmeter on ACV. Try the electric start. You should get voltage spikes. The actual number isn't important, we're just checking that an electrical signal is going TO the coil.
The black wire going to the coil should lead to the CDI. Test the continuity of the wire just like the red wire. You will have to unplug the CDI.
Look at the wiring connector. Make sure all the metal contacts inside are pushed all the way forward so they can make GOOD contact with the pins in the CDI.
If the connectors and the wires are OK but you're not getting voltage to the coil, then it's time to look at the stator.
Just to make sure you are doing it right, I'll go over the steps to check the spark.
Remove the spark plug from the engine. Plug the end of the spark plug into the spark plug cap/wire until it clicks. Touch the metal tip of the spark plug to the engine. Turn off the kill switch. Make sure the side stand kill switch is disengaged if you have one. Turn on the ignition and hit the starter while holding the spark plug to the bare metal of the engine case. I am always able to see a bright blue spark when inside the shop. In direct sunlight it might be hard to see the spark.

it may come to checking your trigger pick up

I have a friend that has a local Chinese scooter shop and he claims the trigger is the thing that he finds to be the problem most of the time.

Check the little black box thing in the yellow square I drew, it is under the fan on the right hand side of your motor, if it has loosened and moved too far it could keep you from having a spark. If you have a matchbook cover (just one layer of it) you can slide that under it between it and the spinning metal thing next to it.

rebsi saw that on my scoot and have been reading about it
today i have done NOTHING but watch piggers.--not sure of his status so far
i am going to look at that, plus cut my kill switch wire going to the cdi to see if the kill switch is screwed up
d-cat recommends that so since he seems to be the expert i am gonna do those 2 1st

i know on the stellas a no spark issue the first thing we do is bypass the kill switch
other odd things that i have seen cause no spark for starting is a blown brake light bulb but that has always been on older mopeds

The kill switch is something I have never heard reported as a problem but makes total sense. Those usually just ground out the spark so it does not go to the plug.
I unhooked the one for my yard vac/chipper cuz it was a pain on that, just have to keep the fingers out of the chipper now while it is running.

The kill switch is also a handy device to accidentally knock into the "Dead" position and kill the spark. Check to see if it's in the run position. Did you change the spark plug? They are capricious little devices that love to malfunction.

yes i did check the kill switch to make sure it was right. i may be stupid as F but im not that stupid--lol always start with easiest, right. fuse, kill switch in run, fuel.vacum etc etc but im sure this is a different than easy fix. now after swapping cdi & coil, im leaning towards, the kill switch bypass thing OR stator OR pick up
and reb, D cat said to test it, he has found this to be the problem lots of times. like it gets stuck. and almost everyone says.. when it comes to electrical, ask D cat.
and even tho the only store close to walk to didnt have a NGK i got a champion replacement--and yep no spark

Easy enough to check then, just cut the wire going to it.
BTW, most riders would be lying if they said they never tried to start it up with the kill switch in the kill position.
I once put a big dent in my motorcycles tank when it wouldn't start and I got sick and tired of it, had a good reminder about what to check by looking at the tank between my legs, damned thing needs the fuel valve turned on.

reb
checked output coming from stator
it about 1/2 of what it is supposed to be
so i guess its toast
so lets see buy a flywheel puller and a stator wait weeks for parts
