well after just shy of 5k miles my starter finnally gave out, but after i pulled it out to diagnose it some weird stuff i discovered . im actually real good at rebuilding electric motors i used to race electric r/c cars and would build modified motors for them , anyway the brushes werer worn out no surprise there i had some from a angle grinder that were the same size threw them in and they worked ok for about 5 mins . the thing that concerns me is ... the starter motor was completely filled with a very dirty black oil when i say filled i mean when i pulled the two halves of the motor apart it poured out onto the floor and made a huge puddle it was full like a glass of something , that diddnt seem right now how did it get there is what i wanna know , any ideas or similar experiances please chime in

i have elec. r/c cars lol, not much into working on them, they brake and i would buy a new one lol i have 3 now[ little ones] i have two associated and a mini lst. i haven't played with them in a long time. i had lipo batts and i drained them rendering them useless lol expensive mistake i made.
they are fast as hell imo, a buddy got me into it but we no longer talk, he is a nutjob, he went out and built a track that takes an acre of land, with a standing view platfrom and everything.
his mom died so now he' rich and doesn't work he just plays, he has no responsibility as daddy still pays his way and hes' 44. that was too much to hear lol.
