Everybody, We have a new look, thanks to oldchopperguy
He took my drawing and we spoke about some ideas and he came up with the Riding General masterpiece you see up on the banner.
He also drew a nice round logo that will go very well on tee shirts, so we will see some of those showing up in the store.

Thanks much for the compliments! What a hoot! That old Cushman looks mighty good when you reduce it down and hide the flaws... And, the General looks like he's having TOO MUCH FUN...(LOL)!
It's my pleasure to contribute to the site if I can.
YEE-HA!
Now I've GOT to get my hoss back on the road! Darn thing is giving me fits! The weather is PERFECT and everybody with a bike is out riding, and I'm still wrenching...

Wow. Great job OCG! Thanks. ALRIGHTY THEN! Thanks OCG.....OK Doug, work it out with OCG....I wanna see that on the BACK of some Rebel Swag at Cafe Press! I also think the designs are better on the back of shirts because it's better advertising if you are riding with the tshirt on. If you like black/dark shirts it's not Rebel's fault that none of them have logos on the back. For some reason CafePress won't print on the back of dark shirts.

Rockhound,
Yup, it's a late fifties/early sixties Cushman Eagle. Sort of. (Lots of fork, headlight, engine and tinwork variations from year to year...) Not perfectly accurate, but close... It IS just a fun cartoon, but Rebel wanted the General mounted on one, and when he told me that, I had to get into the act! The old Eagle is my favorite scooter, and the first 2-wheel vehicle I ever rode. It got me started on more than fifty years of enjoying the wind in my face!
I'm just glad I can contribute to the fun side of decorating the site!
The old Simplex was indeed neat! You can still find NEW comfy solo seats like those on eBay. They are GREAT on "Ruckus" type scoots, and "Bobbers". Bet you liked the Harley-Davidson Hummer, too! And down the food chain some, the venerable Whizzer! Them wuz the days! Have a great one!

Don't worry guys I'll get it on some tee shirts. I am a fan of the old Cushmans and wanted the general on one of them, I tried to do the job a couple different ways, made the general over a bit and plumped him down on a cushman, just could not get one I was happy with, then yesterday OCG emailed this one to me and I was impressed. OCG has a long work history of doing this kind of stuff and his knowledge and experience told him to draw the general like he was on a horse, then draw the scooter to fit him, magic happened. If we did the Karma thing here he would be getting some major Karma over this, but it was just too much of a head ach on SD, so it isn't coming here.

Ok, the new artwork is up on the store. Any item that has the new logo on the front it is there because they do not print on the back of that item. You should take a look at this even if you are not buying, just because it is not the same with the general riding a scooter there is more than that, so just go see and let us know what you think.
OCG and I have been collaborating on more things to come too.
