Ok now that i have my scooter running right again now i can focus on the cosmetic issues that i have, for example where can i find new body panels for this thing, btw its a 2006 schwinn colligate. If exact body panels arent available would panels from other scoots work/fit?

I do not know what body style that scooter is. You might post a photo or one from th internet. Scrappy does sell some body panels too. I have another dealer that has lisitngs for a lot of body parts onn my computer at home, I'll post that tonight when I'm home.

I don't have any parts for that model. If you get parts for any scooter that looks like that should fit. I did some searching and that scooter is kind of hard to find parts for but I didn't search for very long. It's the Chinese Honda metropolitan knock-off: This place in Fla. sells one like that. maybe they can steer you to parts for it if you call/contact them. www.orlandoscooterdealership.com/showroom.html

i called that company in florida and he can get body parts for that model, however after he gets it and does his mark up and all that it would cost me more to get one body panel than it did to get the entire bike

What you might do is keep your eyes out for a non running scooter that has the same motor and a decent body, then just swap out the good parts for the bad ones and call it good.
If you have all the pieces, you can do some reconstruction of the panels with a plastic welding kit from harbor freight, a little bondo sand paper and paint.

I've heard a lot of complaints about Scooterdepot. If you order from them do it on the phone first of all, get names and ask for everything emailed to you in writing. Remember if you use a credit card you can always file a complaint and get your money back if they do not send the right stuff to you.
