What did they want to fix on it. What does Wisconsin do if you don't get it done?
Too bad you didn't have a second motor to throw back in there just for something like this.

they want to replace the carb and the air box my scooter has neither part
except for a couple of counties we dont have smog testing here so i doubt the state will do anything
honestly i think i will stop by the dealer and have a chat with them see if they will order the parts and claim they did it just so i dont have to worry about it heck it could be a win win situation my vin is marked as fixed and they get paid by yamaha for doing nothing
but yeah im worried for friends in smog nazi states where they may not renew there plates till the scooter is fixed

ok payed my friend who runs a yamaha shop a vist they wont ba able to pencil whip this as they are requried to send the old carb and airbox in it also sounds like they may have to stamp the frame and engine case
when yamaha brought back the z50 in 08 they restricted the throttle because the co emissions were to high at wot
because you can mofify the carb to let it go wot they are out of epa compliance
so they are replacing the carb with a restricted carb that cant be modified and it will have a specific air box so you cant just go get a diffrent carb
at least for here in wi it sounds like its totaly vollentary so hopefully you guys in smog nazi states are as lucky
