OK what are the positives and negatives to this. I am sure it looks better but is a 1" rear lowering really noticeable. I have seen some blocks that are used to reposition the rear shock. Who has experience with these. Do they work and how is the ride affected? Also what are you guys and gals paying for these? I was thinking about machining my own but I am curious to see what the price range is on them.

well those blocks normaly give you lift here is the big deal if you take 1 in of suspension travel away you are only going to have about 1 in of suspension travel left if that much considering most scoots have no more then 2.5 inches of suspension travel

For a lower look, I'd consider stretching it out, longer makes it look lower even if it is not.
I'm old enough that I am not into the lowering thing. If you are always riding on fairly smooth roads lowering should not be a huge problem, if you ride over lots of bumps and holes it could be a problem.

You can cut the front fork springs and as Rebel said, stretch it a bit. Cutting coil springs make them stiffer, but I would go overboard. This 50cc is stretched and the front springs cut 3/4s of an inch. No deep pot holes please. RD

If you lower it yu will probably drag the kick stand on some corners as you lean over.

as it happens i am looking for a longer rear shock on my scoot for more comfort. my center stand has been raised = not having to slow down on corners
Lowering will give more bump steer
