Hi all, I have been trying to find someone that enjoys working on scooters, I am retired from the Custom Car business, (T Buckets) Ted Brown Chassis, for many years... My back and knees do not let me do the same work that I did for years, and working on my 2002 Kymco, People 150 scoot can get my back all messed up... So, if anyone knows of such a fellow near Bakersfield, Calif. I would love to hear from you or them... I still do all types of TIG welding, maybe I can help with trade work... Thanks for any help in this matter cell (661) 203-0165 or e-mail tedabrown@juno.com or here should work also...

Ted, I live in Porterville. If you need a hand I might be able to help you.

Thanks Fox. I had actually wondered if you would stray that far from home.

Thanks Fox. I had actually wondered if you would stray that far from home. I would go there but he'd be paying the gas bill. I checked out Ted's creations on the web and he's no dummy. He's prolly got a firm grasp on how to fix his scoot but he's no longer able to do it is all. I can relate. The Kymco People 150 is a great scooter but a lot of parts are not interchangeable with Chinese scooters but there is parts available. I'd like to take a trip up there and visit your shop like you did here. How's your schedule for the next few weeks? If you need any parts I'll bring 'em with.

LOL, my "shop" is a little space I can squeeze in the garage, if I need to work on something, or the driveway, the patch of shade I can find so that the wife does not get unhappy with stuff in her view.
You are welcome to come up, bring a scooter and we can go for a little ride in the nearby mountians. I'm expecting therustyaxe and sunshinecma to show up this coming week end, I think you would be welcome, but if you need more time, just let me know. I do have two week ends tied up in October the 8th-9th and 15th-16th, in fact I will be out of town from the 8th to the 16th.
BTW I called Ted today, he was really looking for a repair shop that could help him out. His scooter sounds like it might just need a new starter and he wants it back on the road soon, I'm kind of tied up for the near future. I gave him contact information for a scooter shop in Tulare that handles GY6 scooters and he is going to get in touch with them, if he can't get it done there, we may just trailer it to my house and go from there.
