What is a good 2 cycle oil for a injection system that is readily available at parts store? Is pennzol Marine Plus outboard Motor Oil. It is a blend. All of the private labels sold at cycle shops aren't available here in my area.

Good question, my 2 stroke experience is pretty limited, I'm sure one of the 2 T guys will be around and give some input on this.

I don't have any trouble ordering oil instead of buying local, but I stock up. A case of 12 quarts lasts a long time at 50:1, and when I get down to a quart or two I order again. Only takes a few days anyway. I agree to check out bike shops. They tend to have the best stuff you'll find locally. I used to buy Mobil 1 Racing 2T from AutoZone, but they quit making it years ago and I switched to AMSOil. I had heard they were bringing it back, but it doesn't look like it will be back in the US. I only see it on the Mobil site in other countries.

With the smog laws making it harder for compliance of 2 t bikes, it will probably just get harder to find. Any problems with shelf life?

In my mx experience I always had the best results using motorex, motul, and all the maxima products. Actually the maxima products were used most often. even there waxes and quick shines are awesome on plastic. They also make great filter oil inc. a spray on oil thats not quite so messy.
