I’ve got about 2700 miles on the original tires that came with my scooter. They are a Cheng Shin tubeless variety. The front is marked 100/80-16 and the rear is 110/80-16. Would it be OK to go with a 120/80-16 on the rear or should I drop to a 100/80-16? I’m having a difficult time finding a matched set. I didn’t want to change the size of the front tire since it operates the speedometer. What tires do you use, and what do you think of them?

If you have enough clearance, the larger tire would be OK, in my opinion.

if you have the room go with the larger tire what it amounts to is the bigger tire is 10mm wider and 8mm taller
the first number 120 is tire width in mm the second 80 is the side wall height in % of tire width and of course the last number is the rim dia in inches

You should be fine with a 120mm tire. I like Michelin Boppers or Michelin Pilot SCs. I'd choose Boppers again if I wanted the best handling or Pilots for good handling and better wet traction.
Hmmm. Just noticed that Michelin doesn't list 16" tires for scoots. Pirelli and Avon get great reviews. Perhaps they carry your size.
