Hi, I have problems with my carb that I don't understand, from factory the scooter had a 105 main jet, i changed the filter with one UNI two stage filter, HP exhaust and I put a 120 jet but when I go like 25 or 26 miles the scooter star sputtering like a machine gun, when I open the throttle runs OK at high speed. The problem is between 25-30 miles, may be the jet is to big? , should i step down the jet???, the spark plug looks dark brawn in the electrode and black outside. Thank you in advance for your help!!!! GY6 150cc "P" engine, 24mm carburetor,.

when you tune a carb you need to start with the af screw get that sounding good there is a good how too about the a/f screw on here then you need to adjust the needle my guess is 25 to 30 mph on your scoot is some where around 1/2 throttle i would go in and raise the needle and see what it does(to raise the needle you need to lower the clip on the needle) if it makes the problem worse then go one notch higher then where the needle was set to begine with

Yeah, sounds like you are too rich. Going from a 105 to a 120 is too big a jump. Try a 110 and see if that works.

Hi, Im back, I just received my new jets, 108, 110,115 and 118. tomorrow I will try what jet is the best, because the 105 from factory was to lean and 120 is to big. what jet do you guys think will be the best?

my guess is you will probably end up using the 110 or 115, just a guess though.
