When my brother and I first joined SD in 2006 you got legitimate and helpful answers to problems or questions from knowledgeable people. The last year it seemed as if the old members stopped posting and the replies were nonsense. Everyone was getting to concerned about their number of 'bones' and just submitting ridiculous posts to up their totals. Personally, I hope most of them stay there.

My name is John. been at SD for over a year. Am real glad I was able to find this board. I have been riding a sport bike and it is up for sale as I am going on 67 years old. I have always like scooters, my first was in around 1960, a wards imported by rockford motors and probably built by bridgestone. a twist and go just like todays scooters. A few months ago I bought a yamaha riva180 with 5k on it and promptly put an arkansas antique plate on it. Been waiting to get the money out of my bandit so I can get another scooter. I may not wait. 2 of the gsm scooters got my interest. the carino 150and the tracer 150. I like the looks of the carino better. the tracer might be better at speed. If I were able to sell the bandit I could buy both with the proceeds. This board seems like where I will find all the answers on big bore and improving preformance with out crybaby know it alls spoiling the mood. John

I took you guys advice and ordered from gs. I just placed an order for a carino le 150. after seeing the orginal color in a photo of the "executive"scooter I just had to have it. The porche green is out of this world too. I picked the carino for several reasons including the brakes are both disc and i will be wanting to improve preformance so it will run at 55 for short stretchs of highway. gs said I can expect to have it by tue of next week, that would be july 7th. john

I had forgot about this thread, but recent happenings on SD sparked a memory, so I'm here to post about it.
I had another one of those experiences over the last few days. I got a PM about a posted picture on a thread over there that offended somebody, it was posted by a fellow that loves to post pictures, but it was not really quiet up to the safe for work standard. I deleted the picture, I also had to clean up another thread where a member had started posting negative statements about another member, and I admit I had jumped in and made a couple posts, trying to cool things off a bit, but you know some people just want to be the last word in any fight. I cleaned up the thread, sent the guy that started the complaints about the other member a PM and asked him to cool it down. Next thing you know, he posted again this time saying he'd gladly take my position there so I didn't have to come there anymore. That guy is now banned there, he also tried to rejoin here (he had been a member here and dropped it himself) well, if I know about him trying to join again, he will get banned again here, funny thing is, I saw the new member and thought that I should sent him a welcome PM, but something told me their was a problem, my little voice in my head said, you need to check this guy out, sure enough the trouble maker on SD was trying to come back here.
Seems a couple of the people that used to post here are not exactly happy with me. One is still on SD, but that might not be for long if, well enough said. I know you come here and look for things to complain about so just steam a bit.
All i ask is for people to be civil to one another. there is no need to act like you are in kindergarten.

Well, rebs & rebettes...
I really enjoy both SD and SR sites. I get a lot of good advice, and ignore the "not so good" stuff. I've always enjoyed working with Lee and Doug from SD, and of course, now our new leader Doug here at Scooter Rebels. They, along with all the others who who keep the train on the track, have done a great service for scooter folks, and my hat's off to one and all who will take the time and spend the money to keep sites like Scooter Rebels up and running.
When I'm riding my lowly little scoot, I often fall in with others on Harleys, Asian sport-bikes, or other scooter jockeys. It never seems to make any difference... We're all enjoying the wind in our faces on whatever we prefer, or can afford. Heck, I recently met up with a guy on a $150,000 chopper at a red light. We each got a kick out of what the other was riding, so we traded bikes for short cruise. Now THAT'S friendly scootin'... (That chopper was mighty sweet, too!) Not often an old buzzard like me gets to throw an arthritic leg over a hoss like that, and twist her ear on 400 hp!
Let's all make the effort to do the same with our websites. After all, it's all about the ridin'... or, in the case of the websites, the readin'...
Ride safe, and post friendly!

Thanks Leo,
You make me want to stop complaining. I came here to mention that a idiot I banned on SD has been over here trying to weasel his way back in, no doubt to cause more trouble. I've had to ban the last two screen names because they were in fact that fool. But since you put me in a good mood,I won't complain about that.

Rebel,
You're MOST welcome, and thanks for all you do here. Hey, I have a great tool I'll share, to keep from complaining on websites... I save up all my gripes, blame it on the government and unload on my Senator... Heck, he get's paid to listen to my complaints!!! (LOL...)
Kliff,
Glad I can be of some help... Silver Star gratefully and humbly accepted!
Saah-loot!
