ok this thread will be kinda like the jeff foxworthy you know your a redneck jokes except they will me you just might be scooter addict



this is a thread i had over on the forum i used to run scooter addict and i had to share it here and on 49ccscoot



if you ride your scooter more then you drive your cage
if you have ever ridden your scooter in a snow storm
the shop owner says you need oil again
your spouse or s/o has ever accused you of making out with your scooter
you go to the scooter shop just to visit with people
you are a member of this forum
you are in the top 10 in posters of at least 2 scooter forums
you are a member of at least 3 diffrent scooter forums
you skip over the victorias secret catalog for the scooterworks catalog
you are the only person in your house who rides a scooter and yet you own more than one scooter (or you dream of owning more than one)

the scooter shop owner/employees know you by name
the sound of a good 2 stroke makes you turn your head!
When your favorite Cologne is oil of strawberry
If you are jogging your brain to come up with more reasons that make you a scooter addict
If you happen to be in a wreck you have a back up scoot
you have a wreck and you are more worried about your scoot then yourself

the second call after the wreck is to your scooter shop(first being the cops)
When at the gas station you rush to fill up as fast as possible just to impress people that you are in and out in under a minute.

When in the cage and you see another scoot you quickly get depressed wishing you were riding yours.

when you gas up you hear some one say you have to put gas in that thing again

you have burnt thru more then a tank of gas when you go out for a ride

you entered an iron but contest and no one else enters because you set the bar to high
For those of us in hurricane prone parts:

Your scooter is the only vehicle you bring indoors during a hurricane watch and secure it in your safe room.

and for those of us in northern climates

your cages are parked out side and your scoots are warm and snug in the garage

When you'll stop where a scooter is parked to find the person that owns it so you can meet them.
When you'll turn around and follow a scooter going in the other direction so you can get a better look at it, and meet the rider.
When the weekly or monthly group ride is your social high point during this time.
You have about a zillion scooter pictures on your computer.
You carry a tire gauge in your purse.
You're seen washing your scooter by street light at 4 AM.
If Stella is the other women
If your cage has rust on the rotors
You leave early for a ride just to hang out at the shop
You leave for a short ride and dont get home till 6 hours later
and yes i love oddeipone
If your cigarettes cost more than your fill up.
When you pull up to a Harley at a stop sign and rev up your bees.
When a girl passes you by on a scooter and you can't remember what she looks like.
You rather be out with Stella instead of your wife
While getting a divorce she got the house kids and car while you got the scooter and you were happy with the 50/50split

If you have watched EVERY scooter video on the internet (Including Px150, LML150, Stella Scooter, Stella 150, Genuine Stella, etc) for search terms.
Same goes for pics with the same search terms.

Okay I admit I have watched the best 20 or so more than once.

If you are ordering service manuals for scooters you don't own yet.
If you are ordering PARTS for scooters you don't own yet (yes I have done this, but the price was sooooo cheap) mmmm Ebay.
If you have email alerts from Ebay for search terms such as, Stella scooter, Yamaha zuma, Genuine scooter, Vespa, etc ........

If you have ever gone to the closet to smell your coat to hold you over till the weather gets better.
If you ever just go out to the garage " to have a smoke " ... and come in 2 hours later with grease on your hands.
If you have a "comfy" chair in your garage so you can just sit and admire your scoots (Bonus addict points for a fridge with beer!)
If you have ever finished off the roll of TP when you didn't need to ... just so you have an excuse to ride to the store.

you live in a winter climate and you have to rewiterize your scooter a few times becasue you took it out a rode it in the winter crappy land
You move to a warmer climate so that you don't have to winterize your scoot.
You spend hours trying to figure out a trivia question about vintage scooters and consider it fun.
you come up with scooter trivia questions that take people hours of research to answer
you go to an aviation museum and end up taking pics of a scooter

Better yet you go to the beach with all the beautiful people and all the pics on your camera are of scoots

if the tools you need to do the new mod on your scooter cost more then the parts

if you have no qualms cutting a big ass hole in the fender of your scoot to make it one of a kind

if you cause people to post on threads that have been inactive for several years

if you go and post on a thread that has been inactive for sevral years looking for a scooter trivia answer

if its only 20 deg out but the sun is shining so you ride to work
When your scooter (Stella) gives you a black eye and you still come back for more.
