Hey guys,
Great forum that you've got here. I just acquired a scooter. I am sure that it is chinese. The VIN indicates that it is a 2003 model 50cc made by Morgen's Motorcycles. The engine is inscribed 1PE41QMB. The scooter has a total of 60km on it.
Some questions:
Is this a good motor, I can't seem to find parts specifically for it. I have found a lot of places selling parts for a motor that looks somewhat similar (D1E41QMB), but none for my specific engine.
Is this particular scooter worth trying to resurrect, considering the motor?
I think that all it needs is a battery and a little TLC to get started, but I don't want to sink a penny into it, if this particular platform has a bad reputation.
One more thing. I am trying to order a battery, the old one is part number 12N4-3B. It has been discontinued, does someone have a suggestion for a substitute.
Thank you all and please help me.

I think the D1E41QMB parts will work for you, not 100% sure though. Those engines are chain driven CVTs. They don't perform like some of the other 2 strokes, but if you just want a scooter to ride around that goes 30-35MPH I don't think they are unreliable or anything. Just not a good choice if you want to mod. If it's in good shape it may be worth getting it started and running so you can sell it for more. Can you kick start it to see if ti will run?
I'd measure the old battery or the battery tray and see what you can fit.

roasterx,
Welcome to the forum. Seems you have a unique ride, I don't think anybody else has posted that scooter here. It would be great if you posted some pic in the show off thread so we can see what you got.

Hey guys,
Thanks for all of the great information you have provided me thus far. New question, I have pulled the spark plug from the motor. It is a NHSPLDE6T. I cannot find any sort of cross reference for this number. Does anyone have any sort of information on this spark plug?

Can't cross reference it, but a standard NGK plug for the 41QMB is a BP7HS. An NGK iridium plug for that application is BPR7HIX.

Keeway scoots use the 40QMB as Vento and Strada which are QJ made scoots with Keeway being at the top of the heap, Vento is way too out there to depend on anymore, I tried to deal with them for 5 years impossible and I own three Vento including motorcycles
TGB Franco and have been selling kits and pipes for awhile now
Hands down a Matrix or Fact from Keeway is the real deal, no problems where you even need parts, my scooter I take on track is a Strada RX8 QJ made with 70 aluim kit tecnigas pipe, silders, OKO 24mm carb prodigy clutch/bell polini belt it simply screams around the track on the heals of Zumas, the Matrix and Fact do 45 out of box after break in, besides Keeway scoots are the best looking no matt black panels all race look, I just can not get past the Zumas at finish line, I over take them on the start but they catch me and go around, yesterday I got back in lead after the leader on a four stroke jonway with 70 kit went down in front of me and I just got around the Zuma and the scoot on pavement, the points leader for Polini Cup is a jonway with liquid cooled cylinder and head, we use BR8HIX plugs in two stroke
