I am looking to buy a 50cc scooter and Saferwholesale seems good. Is there any one out there who has had experience with them, or ANY info on them. I would greatly appreciate any input ME

I have never seen them before so I went to them and checked out the prices. The prices are OK, not particularly a steal but not bad either. Buying online yo need to be very careful. A fifty cc scooter in many states does not need to be registered, so that can be a non-issue if you live in the right state. If you live in one of the other states or move to one, registration might become a big issue. Check the DMV where you live to see if you can just get any 50cc scooter and ride it with no papers. Since this is an unknown dealer, proceed with caution. Some online dealers after they have your money can not follow through with their promises, not cover items that should be cover with a warranty, not replace parts that were damaged in shipment, a whole list of bad things can happen. The best thing to do is to buy from a local brick and mortar business that has been there fore a few years. This kind of a business will be much easier to get a response from if you have a problem. I'd suggest that if you do not have a local B&M dealer, consider a used Japanese scooter off the local craigslist. If you are good with working on motors, motorcycle, lawn mowers, you might be just fine with a Chinese scooter and can go ahead and go that route. A few places for you to think about buying from; McDonough PowersportsCarolina Fun Machines (might be close to you)Superior Power Sports

Thanks Rebel. I have been watching. I joined SD and made a couple of posts and recieved no replies. It is good to be noticed. I do have experience with Bikes no twist and go but Honda knock offs should be no problem

Hmm, I'm surprised you got no replies over there. Had I seen it I'd have offered the same advice there. The size of the forum can allow somebody to be overlooked I guess. Over there if you did not already know, I'm medman1952.

Hey Rebel, Do You know any thing about www.extreme-scooters.com they have a couple scooters there that may be OK, long as I do a real good PDI on them . Mainly I am worried about the dealers themselves being reputable. I work nights on a strange rotation and it some times sets me of frpm "real" day people. ME

I don't remember hearing about complaints on them. The best thing to do is check for a BBB listing on them and see if they have a good rating, a A, B, or even a C anything worse steer clear.
If Superior has the scooter at a similar price I'd buy it from them.
I looked at the page a little and I hate to say it but here is my experience with every single business I've ever done anything with that openly touts their religious affilitiations, they have all screwed me. So I would not buy from them for that single reason.

I know this is a long time off but your best bet for buying a 50cc scooter online is GS Motorworks. www.gsmotorworks.comThey have the best parts guy in the universe, John Sanchez, have the parts for what they sell, deliver quickly and stand behind their warranty. They made such a good name for themselves in the past that they were bought by Tao Tao and now sell their scooters. 1-888-400-3253 and ask for Steve. He's the head sales guy.

I don't know where you live but the safest thing to do is check www.craigslist.org go to motorcycles and search "scooter". If you get a time you could see the scooter and test drive it and maybe haggle. Also www.greenearthscooters.com is another possibility. I hear good and bad about them but in fairness I've called them a couple of times for other people and they've always picked up and seemed concerned with their reputation. They also deliver quickly, have parts and generally stand behind their warranty. I'm not as enthusiastic about them as I am about GS Motorworks

whenever you buy online, make sure they send you the paper work that the state YOU live in requires. buy it on a CC or debit maybe, so you can reverse the charges if they DONT send the proper paper work. there are a lot of solid online companies who will send you a bike with papers, but some will not. call your dmv first and see what you need to register it, then call the retailer and ask them if they will give you what they require, if they wont, shop elsewhere.

lol i do and i dont. i have to recommend that you read all the reviews online and on this site. i can say that, despite them mailing the crap out of me, i actually like iscoot.com
they have what appears to be an honest linhai bike. or at least using a linhai engine. it's standard gy6, but supposedly the linhai stuff is a better quality product. however you do pay more for it and it's not a flashy design. there's not a ton of complaints on line about them, and they were friendly. havn't ordered there my self, just made an inquiry. i have heard 50/50 on gs motorworks and 50/50 on green earth scooters. if i had to go with one, and stick with it, it would be scootertronics. from what i have read over and over, they are a great place to buy from and their jonway line is reasonably priced, and jonway makes a killer bike nowadays, especially the WASP, which is the best scoot for the $ in my humble opinion. it cost more, but it rides better all around.
a good way to check up on a dealer is to go here or to scootdawg and research them in the dealer area, i have read alot of reviews that way.

i've heard good and bad about scootertonics. ostly the bad has been that the owner is sometimes less than real friendly on the phone, don't think I have ever heard anybody say that they god shafted by them though.
