Maybe there are some members on this forum that can help with a problem I had last year that has cropped up again. When I apply the brakes or use the turn signals my headlights dim. This started last summer and below is a list of things I've did last year:
Checked and cleaned all grounds Replaced stator Replaced voltage regulator Replaced heatsink Replaced fuseholder Removed all body parts and checked entire harness for shorts
The dimming typically occurs only at slower rpms as I'm slowing down. I thought I had the problem fixed but it started back up the second time I road my scoot to work this year.

tankgunner You say it is at lower RPM's? Why you going that slow anyway? How many miles you have on yours? You will have to ride it ten years to catch up to my just shy of 13,000!

harry, Could he leave the turn signals alone and change the running lights instead? I believe LED's for turn signals would required additional hardware, like a modulator. At least I think that is what it is called.

My battery is one of the more expensive ones purchased 6/08 and constantly is plugged into the charger. (Never thought to check to make sure my charger is still putting out enough voltage; it's three years old (wallyworld special)).

so did the problem go away last year after you bought the battery? If it did, I'd charge it up good and go from there, always do the free/cheap stuff first if you have to figure out what is wrong.

The problems initially started late last summer. In the mornings I can go about 3 or 4 blocks before the problem starts up. Dims when brakes are applied or flashes when the turn signals are on. Could it me my battery is not fully charged? The only thing I haven't tried is a new charger.

About two months after bought the new battery. Going to buy a new charger tomorrow after work and let it charge all weekend. Will post the results on Tuesday.
