Hi folks. I'm planning on building a custom reverse trike with my son this month. I purchased a Chinese 150cc long engine off of ebay, and want to get the wheels/tires now. I'm aiming for a cross between a SUNL 150T-27, and an old indy car from the 50s. Picture long, low, single seated, and fun. In any case, I'd like to get some 16" wheels up front, and the biggest wheel I can fit on the 150cc long engine that's sitting in my garage. A scooterized, one seat version of this: www.ruko-fahrzeugtechnik.de/trike/index.htmlThe big question I have is what spindles I should get for the front end. I could fabricate them....but I would rather get off the shelf parts in the event that we make more of these little things for other family members. I have emailed several parts suppliers, with no luck as to getting a spindle/disk brake/wheel parts number list so I could place an order. Very frustrating the lack of business response in this community.. Would any of you happen to have that basic information on hand, like what diameter spindle would fit a wheel of that size, or what i might be missing in my plan? Thanks in advance.

codestar, Welcome to the forum. Looks like a great project. I'm going to suggest looking into some high end go-cart hardware and talking to one of the members here "bige" (Mc Donough Power Sports) he might be able to steer you the right direction. this is a link to a place with a good selection of scooter wheels www.scooterparts4less.com/ALL_Rims.htmI'm posting a couple of the pic from the page you linked to .
