So I get my kit from Carlos, everybody knows Carlos, right? The best Ebay factory seller on the planet? That guy. Anyway I tear apart the motor, all is going well. I get the piston slid into the cylinder block with hose clamps and much frustration. HMM, it looks like the alignment dowl pins aren't pressing in! OK, I through the head on just to torque down the Cylinder. SHYT!, still crooked. Then UhOH. The timing chain fell between the case and block. I pulled the block off and it was DE-F'n Stroyed! I Emailed Carlos and he had a new one at my door step in two days from Taiwan. I proceed with the build. Here are some pics. Put the new cylinder block and head, adjusted valves to .004 I ain't ganna waste every bodies time with details because most of you if not all can build a motor. I started the bike tonight and ran it for a bit, guess what ... oil leak ... F@#K! I swear, If I don't kill myself on this bike, it will kill me. LOL! Check this out! The Bike hasn't been running right lately. When I dis assembled the engine I bumped the spark plug wire from the high output coil. The boot simply fell off. It was melted. Look at this pic. So, ganna tear her apart again and find that leak before I break her in. ;D If I ever get this done it will be very close to a 170cc with an A10 cam and all the other stupid mods. Rusty

Just a quick note, if you ditch those lame studs for the intake, you can get some 6-8mm bolts (depends on your hole size) and go through the intake if you want to use a aluminum performance intake.
Also note the blue performance fan Carlos sends out for free with a kit. Thank God he sent me a new coil and plug for free as well as you can tell from my old wire.
Carlos is the best.

I'd probably be kicking it to pieces if I had all those problems. FYI, when I've had the head off of one of theses I hook the timing chain onto a bungee and hook that to the frame to keep it pulled snug, when I slip things back together I fish the bungee through the passage and re hook it to where it was to keep applying tension so that the chain stays on the right cog and so that it does not cause problems.

Crankshafts, piston/cyl kits, heads..... I use Carlos. I usually wait till I have a large order, then I get a much better freight rate. Just did 3 BBK's, 3 heads, 1 crank, and some incidentals, all for 95.00 in freight. With the slack Carlos cut me on the freight AND the additional disc. for the large order, I saved over 150.00 for an "in States" purchase.
I haven't been dissappointed yet by Carlos, and I'm awful picky about my parts, service, and after the sale service. Carlos is scoring a 100 with me.
Glad you got you engine from hell sorted....sometimes, experience is the best teacher. That's one mistake you'll never make again, I'm bettin'!

Paul, holy cow, what a project. An oil leak huh, sounds familiar I'm sorry to hear that brother. Where is the oil leak coming from? I have a bunch of permatex junk that will make a gasket. I also have that indian head lacquer that can help too. I can bring it up this week or weekend if you want... Let me know dude.

My Brother ... USFMARINE!!!!!!!! Glad to see ya! I did find the leak. I was this useless screw on top of the Cylinder block. Got that fixed. It caused me hours of grief. F@$K If you look at the pics, it is not the chain tension but the obscure bolt that does nothing. I appreciate your offer Marshall, You are a true Brother! Pick up your phone some time, lol! You woke my arse outta bed, Sheesh! Paul
