you need to add some pipe, and make a perforated collar, like a machine gun would have and get lights that fit inside for your blinkers imo hell if drill out perforations and you mount the lights in deep you' get side lights too. try and find a head light with the night shades on that would be nice also.

I had one of these in 1958 when I was 15. It was a 1951 Brockhouse Corgi, a civilian version of a WWII paratroop scooter. My dad bought it in England to run around the Airbase when he was there in the AF. That one isn't mine but looks just like it except mine had a British Racing Green paint job that I did. It had a 98cc 2-smoke engine.

Fired that bugger up today! Stuck a temporary wiring harness together, and let 'er rip! Played with the jetting a little, dropped the pilot to a 38, from a 39, main down to a 120, from a 130, DAJ in the middle... Warmed her up, all just bench work, no road test yet, DAJ seemed to be working well, but it just didn't have that "crack" I thought it should have.... tried severral mains, adjusted the float, ended up back at the 120....but it just didn't feel right, didn't.....smell right....hmmmmm, I can be a persnickety ole so and so, when it comes to my carbs.... let's do a little pre-lim "fine tuning. Yeah......now I gots what I wants! Sounds about like a miniature BSA 441 Victor at idle, with an instantaneous bark when the throttle is snapped open! Oh yeah, this is gonna be fun. I would have done a sound file.....but my batteries took a crapola. Maybe next time... but be sure of this...MAXX lives!

A friend at work had one when I was in College. Neat bike but lots of problems and leaks. Another guy whose wife worked for the county typed up an official looking letter on county stationary offering him a job oiling the dirt roads in the county. ;D

Just saying since we were talking bout firearms. So whens this thing gonna be wrapped up?

Man you guys are taking all the fun outta this project....LOL! If you have a extra 18 1/2 Mossberg 500 barrel laying around or a buttstock I would pay good money for it. Just saying since we were talking bout firearms. So whens this thing gonna be wrapped up? Nothing laying around right now Jeremy, but I'll keep my eyeballs open and ears to the wind for you, something could pop up. As for wrapped up....man I wish I could say. Being semi-caretaker of Dad, and all his affairs, working on the scoots, and other commitments is sorta slowing me down. Now, planning the CBR2010 run, I was planning a "tune-up" on my back....well, we may be in for more than just a tune-up. Something "popped" about 10 days back, and now sometimes I get stuck, bending over, sitting, even in bed, and the pain that comes with it is undescribeable. So this has slowed me down considerably. 1st appt with the back surgeons, next week. Then I'll go from there, figurring out logistics with Dad, etc. But I've got to get it done, or no CBR, and even worse, it could adversely affect my taking care of Dad too... so the surgeon's blade creeps closer....to what extent, is yet to be known, and that will probably slow Maxx down too, unless I get on a roll, and can suck it up long enough to get 'er done. We'll see... I need 32, good, painfree, uninterrupted hours, over a 4 day span. As it is right now, I'm getting maybe 5-8 hours scatterred through a week, to work on Maxx... On the plus side though... I've got the qmb sitting, ready for tear-down and expansion... I'v got a 1P57 inbound(Doug's) for a 59mm cross country build... All good bench work, re-hab stuff while my back is healing, so I'll be having some fun while getting beter at the same time. ;D I've got my own little back room of the house set-up with work tables, dremels, even a small lathe... so the head work, carb mods, valve lightenning, everything will still be getting done, from about day 2 outta the hospital.... Some people sit and watch TV to re-coup...I'd rather just do some of the cleaner, lighter work in the back room, central A/C, radio/Cassette...Steppenwolfe....Balck Sabbath...Cream....YES...John Kay.... That's how you re-coup.... porting, port matching, lightenning valves, getting those perfect seat angles..... might even do up a few spares for later projects....
