I pulled the top-end off my Aero80 (1983) to use on my Aero50 Build. Pics: the "new" top end Old Piston:

Been working on the wiring tonight. Only 1 wire does not have a place to plug into. Green with a black stripe in it. Then I cant seem to find the connector for the side controls with the turn signal switch and horn. I'll get some more pics soon.

Got 95% of the wiring done tonight. Just need need to do some final hook-ups.
Then all I got to do is: put a new bulb in head light (will go into that deeper) repaint front farring put top end back on then get all the title stuff taken care off. I want it done before end of the month, so I can enter it in a scooter build contest thing.

You need more tools. Harbor Freight should become your store of choice. I have seen some pretty good deals on tool kits at Home Depot and Lowes too, individual tools there are expensive but kits of tools can go on sale at a great price. My favorite at one time was getting tool kits at Sears too, they have some pretty good sales also. the Craftsman brand was about the best you could find at a decent price (Snap On might still be the highest quality, I dunno, out of my price range), but about 10 years ago the imported tools started getting a lot better and have a low price.

I was thinking about getting one of those metric motorcycle tool kits from compnays like Cruz tools. But then I looked in my spare tool box and realized how many duplicated tools I own, that it would be better too just make one. I do have one of those little kits from Costco (Home depot has almost the same one, just branded as Husky) and mine is a Performance Tool set. The ratchet from that kit is used in my kit.
