Some of you know me. Many don't. My name is Aaron. I've had lots of scooters. Everything from a Honda Spree to to a 64 Vespa 125. Here is my current ride. A 1982 Honda C70 Passport. The Rebel 250 is my wife's new toy. Takes a real man to buy his wife a bigger machine than he has. Looking forward to meeting you all. Aaron

Very nice bike Doug. I was very impressed with the Rebels. Excellent power and rock solid reliable. Cheap too. We bought that one as you see it for $1K and I rode it 60 miles home. It never missed a beat. I was however a bit crippled as it is kinda cramped for a guy my size. It's perfect for my wife. Now I need a "big" bike. I'm thinking Moto Guzzi next year to go with my scoot. But again there is this Honda Helix the next town over...

the 450 is bigger but was only made 2 years, you can still find them. I'd suggest forward controls. perhaps a highway bar. that 250 will get the job done, a lot of guys on the honda rebel forum ride them long distances. Thing about them too is that a lot of the parts, body parts from the chinese knock offs will bolt right on to the 250, like the tank, works on both the 250 and the 450.
