Bagga,
I haven't seen THAT much bolt-on trim outside of a few Vespas… I hate to have to change a tire on that Hog. Somehow, on a Harley, it still works... at least for old geezers of MY generation... Yup!

my brother as an antique store and i take a ride there a couple times a year to see him. i have the 85 sitting outside and a guy walks in and says "you don't have enough lights in that thing". and he says " i have 5 of those lights at my store, i'll sell them to you cheep". his store is about 20 miles from me so i'll be taking a ride there one day next week to pick up the lights. Way to go! You never know where you'll find the goodies! i picked up the lights tuesday evening. it was a complete 6 light, light bar. i filled the 2 empty spots on the angled side lights. i have 4 extra that i'm trying to figure out where to put them. plastic lenses in these and the chrome is in average shape for how old they are. my guess is about 30 years old.

Bagga, Sounds nice! A little patina on the chrome doesn't hurt. And, at this time, plastic lenses are still vintage cool. Heck, we often replace the 6V old bulbs with LED's. THEY are plastic... LOL! On a HARLEY you can always find room for more lights SOMEWHERE! Please post pix... Leo

i'll get some pics tonight. there a ride in car and bike show tonight at the local HD dealer and they are going to have a band playing. it's not my favorite place to go but the people with the vehicles will make the show pretty good. it's one of those dealers that make you fell dirty when you're in there. they sell lots of bikes tho.

bagga, I hate dealers like that. Thenones that make you feel like dirt, or worse, because you didn't or couldn't drop the cash for NEW bike, imtead of ordering parts for a classic.
Have you got the newmpics of the extra lights yet?

i hit a huge bump with my ruckus a couple of weeks ago. when i hit the bump, the ruckus died immediately. i talked to, who i think is the best ruckus guy in the area and he suggested i check for an intake leak. i got to the rubber boot that attaches the carb to the intake manifold to find it was cracked nearly in half. i ordered a new one and it should be here friday.

the manifold intake tube was part of the problem after all.

Bagga,I've been searching through my long-forgotten piles of pix, and came across this one of my old 1970 Electra Glide dresser...I shot this in 1973 during a break in filming a commercial featuring my bikini-clad media-buyer riding on my shoulders, carrying a bag of groceries in each arm... Part of a series of humorous ads featuring people doing everyday stuff in insanely weird ways... yup! I thought members might get a hoot out of how we used our bikes in our professions back then! Enjoy! But keep in mind the lady is now 80 if she's still with us...Leo in Texas

when i first saw the pic and before i did some reading, i thought it was mrs. oldchopperguy. those flames are the all time classic and iconic style.....the seat....the tail light.
