Hi, new to the site, but I've been looking for any info people may have on the scooter I have. I do know it is a Brockhouse Corgi Mkll. I can also tell you it's serial # is W29933. What I don't know is the purpose of the stars on either side, and is this one rare scooter. I have owned it for about 8 years, after a very elderly gentlemean gave it to me, knowing I am into old motorcycles. It has been cleaned up, but nothing has been replaced or added. It probably will even run, but I haven't tried to start it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks ... Dennis Attachments:

well, if you read the post I directed you to, it is a reproduction of a british WWII paratrooper scooter, check the thread out and go to the wiki page it has a link for, the member that posted it also owned one.

First off it's not a scooter it is a motor cycle. It is a spin off from the Welbike which was designed for use by the British Airborne Forces in WW2, the idea was for the bike to fit into an air drop container and be parachuted into the war zone. First used in operation Market Garden WW2. The Corgi was made by the Brockhouse Engineering Company from Southport and was civilian version of the Welbike. All of the Corgis made in the first year of production were sent to America and rebranded the Indian Papoose, this was because Brockhouse had purchase the Indian Motor Cycle Company. In the second year the Corgi was released into the UK, both bike were basically the same .
