;D Congrats on the purchase! Take care of it, ride safe, and best of luck. Try not to wear holes in the floor pacing around waiting for the delivery truck. ;D The Rebels will have you covered if you need any help or advice once it arrives. What are these "towns" you speak of? I started to miss the snow this morning when I walked out to get the paper and caught a whiff of what the farmers have started spreading on fields around my house.

I am in Sioux Falls, SD. Like I said, no one ever comes through my city to get somewhere else. There is only one exception to the rule, and that is the Harley's coming by to go to Sturgis for the rally. Did you know that the Cushman Scooter Club is having a rally in Sturgis in June this year? That would be fun to go to. Just to see all the scoots in one place.
Well, just checked the Old Dominion web site to track my scoot...... *drum roll* they say it should be here tomorrow! Great timing! I am off work this weekend. I will get the battery charged on my camera so I can document the event.
Off for my second cup of coffee, then to work for a while. Have a good day everyone!

I wonder if Cushman owners are anything like Vespa and Lambretta owners. Nothing wrong with them, but some of their owners are very unpleasant toward Chinese scooter owners. I tried to join a Vespa forum some time ago, just to learn more about all scoots. I was friendly and told them I'd like to learn more about their scoots and possibly purchase one, but currently only own Chinese scooters. They told me to get out in no uncertain terms. Point is, not sure if I'd show up to a Cushman rally on a Chinese scoot. Maybe they're different?

Boy, I really don't think Cushman owners would be that way. You never know, I do know that if i were that close to a big Cushman event, I'd go have a look.
well, i did a little search for cushman scooter forums and did not see anything.

hmmmm i wonder how many i could piss off if i took a nice vintage vespa and cut it up like i have done to my stella ...and then put "The Who sucks!" stickers on it. Wear a helmet or you might get hit with a barrage of silly mirrors and driving lamps. I really had nothing against the Vespa crowd and thought tales of their attitudes were all exaggerated until I tried to befriend them. I really don't know much about vintage scoots, so sorry if I attempted to group Cushman scooters or their owners into a category they don't belong in. I'm not saying all Vespa owners are jerks either, but some of them sure do a good job of getting that image out there.

I have no idea if the Cushman crowd swings that way, I just hope they wouldn't, but I would also hope the same for the Vespa people too.

YEA!!!!! My scoot is here in town, we are going over to the loading dock to pick it up. No way the delivery truck can get to my garage with the mud and water levels. Easier for us to go get it and take it back in the pick up. I will keep you all posted. Yippppeeeee!

It's exciting getting a new scooter. I remember when I got mine. I could barely contain myself. I still get a sense of excitement every time I ride it. I never had this much fun in a car, except the Corvette I had a few years ago. I will say the scooter is easier to get on and off of. I just don't have the physique for a Corvette. ;D

Go to www.modernvespa.com and see "attitude" at its finest. You can't even say the words "Chinese scooter" over there without being attacked like bleeding meat in a shark pen.

The local dealership sells mainly buddy, and the MP3's(piaggo?) I called them once about parts and they said "Sorry we can't help you out with a cheap chinese internet scooter" To which I replied "Oh I didn't realize your taiwanese were any different" Hopefully someday people will realize that our scoots work just as well for 1/3 the price.
