The frame turned out great! I like the coating from the spay, feels kinda like bed liner. Haven't done much so far, hopefully I can try to get some more work done today.

Didnt do too much today. drilled another hole in the switch panel for the 12v. plug. Then sprayed it with the undercoating material I used on the frame. Ran all the wires for the switches, so when its all done, it will be ready to be hooked up. The frame may be welded up tomorrow. Right now I'm looking to see if I can find a piston kit that is cheap enough that I can get it now and a carb. Will get pics tomorrow.

Just picked this up. This is what it is: It says 180 watts max x 2 on the mini amp The speakers are water proof/resistant and are rated at 50 watts Bass and treble controls volume knob lights up. RCA inputs. I bought it from a member over at hondaspree.net. He says that for such small speakers, they sound great. $45.00 shipped Dont know were I'll mount it, but it beets headphones in the helmet imo. When it gets here, I'll post up pics Then, just put on some stickers.

your sound system might go under the seat, it is a popular place to put them, speakers mounted on the dash. I don't think you'll have a problem finding a place to install things since you are putting everything back on it.

I am, probably adding a support. But it dosent move...at all. I rolled it around the garage last night and put it on the lift and had the engine on with no supports under it. But I think it would be best to add a support instead of dropping the engine @40mph

Wasn't trying to be a buzzkill or anything, It just doesn't look very safe You can get 1/4" steel at Lowes in various sizes if material is an issue Carry on

My buddy was out of shielding gas anyway, so I'll redesign the entire mount. I got some 1/8" think 2'' angle iron, would that bee good?

I don't exactly understand what you did for the mount there basically, its just a extension off the frame for the engine to mount too.

When fabricating something of this nature, many aspects of stress have to be thought out. A basic extension, for static display purpose is one thing. But a chassis, or mount extension of any kind, will endure more stress than the original component, as you've lenghtenned it, you've also increased it's potential for self distruction because of the added leverage all the weights and G forces generated by the scooter, and real usage will apply against it. Rolling across the floor , I sorry to say, means nothing, hitting a pot hole at 40mph, and surviving, means everything. Square and round steel tubing, are your freinds, as long as a 1" minimum diameter, and /1/8th inch wall thickness is observed. cetral cross barcing to prevent twisting, is also advised. BBuild your extension away from the scoot, as a unit to be installed, either by bolting, and/or welding. Build it true, straight and square. Your angle iron doesn't even appear to be drilled with any concentricity from one side to the other. Think it out, work slowly, and do it right. The quickest build, in chassis work, is seldom the best. Here's a GY6 50cc mount(black) and the beginnings of an extended mount. Initial layout cross brace added, all welding begun... Installed Engine hung Take your time, build it strong, measure 3 times, cut once.... Your LIFE depends on the result.
