I love snow. As long as it doesn't hang around for weeks and weeks. Everyone comes to visit. It's a holiday down here. Seven inches is the most we've had since the winter of '77. Even the Wolfman came to visit. Now I know you folks farther North get a lot more snow than this. I lived up around Moosehead Lake Maine, so I know first hand. But when it snows like this, here, during the day it begins to melt. Then at night it freezes again into Ice. You can't drive on ice. Well you can, but not for long. RD

I don't mind the snow, but it creates work. I'm with you on the longevity part. Here's hoping it melts soon.

I heard you folks were getting more than your fair share GT. If that were here it would be the snow storm of the century. Here's hoping for warmer weather.

It's a pretty big deal here. State and local govts are over budget by a good bit. Schools are going ot have to start converting some scheduled vacation days to school days if they don't want school to go till late June. I believe the news said some local schools were 9-10 days beyond the allotted snow days yesterday. They won't be going back till at least Monday I'm sure, so that'll be 12-13 days. The kids think it's great now, wait till they get the revised school calendar. lol

It's official GT. At Reagan Airport they measured 54 inches, the record has been broken. I'm sure your thrilled hehe. I don't care where your from, 54 inches in such a short period of time, is a Hell!! of a lot of SNOW!!! I putting you folks up for the yearly award. The Gov of MD said, "We ain't got enough snow plows on the Eastern Seaboard to deal with this". Well, he would have if he was from this Montgomery County.
What ya need is my old 440 Rupp 2t Snowmobile I had in Maine. I paid 300 bucks for it and it was a tad ragged, but it would flat scream across the frozen lakes.

It feels like 8 degrees outside and there is little visibility at times. As cool as a 2T snowmobile would be, I'm fine in the house.

Hey Kliff is it snowing on you yet? Welcome to the Winter of '10. Cancel the above ^^^^^^ I guess I'll have to make that Key West. I called my sister in law in Mobile and she said it was snowing to beat the band. ROFL It won't stick around long down there but while it does folks will freak out.

I caught the news about Texas when they were up to I think 2-3" and someone had already put an SUV on it's roof. Michelin Boppers really don't like snow.

Well it's snowing....started here at the house around 3:00pm, 3 hours ago, and 3+" on the ground already. Supposed to snow through 2:00am, drop into the 29's before dawn, but warm to the mid 40's by 3:00pm tomorrow.....gonna be messy....awful messy.

I looked for a photo of that old Rupp but couldn't dig one up. I found a you tube post on one though. I thought a 2t 440 might appeal to you GT.
You gotta like.
Mine was a '72
