OK, complaint stated. I have no desire to have a long heated discussion here for any reason. For future reference a complaint should mention what was ordered, delivery time, response to questions about delivery, quality of the part and if the correct part was sent. Who, Where, What, When, Why. Price is not something to complain about. If you do not like the price do not order that item. I would like to mention that even though there is a ad for Jeremy here, I get no money for that ad or any of the other ads you see on the left side of the page. Sorry, Parts For Scooters does give me 10% of any sale from a click from this forum, I have yet to get a check for any money from them, or a discount at their store. fair enough and i believe you. Im down on this dude because 1) i put off some work waiting for some responses to some questions i never got and ultimately lost money 2) i now have a lighter wallet and 3) have a huge oil spot in the driveway now. I could go on but its useless. nothing but wasted money and frustration from dealing with this retailer and thats the straight up truth. Damn me to hell for saying whats up but i did it anyway.

So then the complaint is that you had questions about a part he sells, didn't take on a job because you you wanted answers about a part, so you lost some money. Not taking a job caused a oil spot on your driveway. You did not order something and not get what you ordered and delivery was not an issue since there was no order.
I have no idea why Jeremy failed to respond to question, I would think you'll go on to another supplier in the future. These things happen to all dealers, I do assure you that I've never heard another complaint about Enviromoto. I may be biased because I do consider him a friend. We have had differences of opinion but in my book he is one of the better dealers out there.
It is certainly a free internet and you can chose to not give him any business in the future.

I hate to say it but all businesses are there to make money. If I'm seeing a patient and the patients spouse has a question about something for them self, usually I will talk about it, sometimes I just suggest they make an appointment to be seen. Our clinic sees people on welfare, people with no insurance, ones that have no money to pay their bill so we just need the volume to survive and make payroll.
If a owner is busy and does not have the time to basically give free advice to somebody that has never been a paying customer, I can understand it. Given that Jeremy spends a lot of time giving free advice on many forums, it is out of character for him, had to be some reason.

It is certainly a free internet and you can chose to not give him any business in the future. let me revise my review lol..... Revised 2011-12/9 19:45 hrs EST I have ordered magnetic drain bolt kits (love those) a few times and a decompression tube kit shown on my PDI thread (strokers PDI). His price is a little higher but the shipping is 'free' but i guess its just rolled into the price of the product. no problem i do this on ebay. i have always gotten what i ordered in good condition and in a reasonable timeframe. However I have 2 issues: 1) The decompression tube kit should state 'for racing applications only. not intended to replace and eliminate the valve cover PCV system' or something to that affect IMO. A gy6 motor MUST have the valve cover PCV system intact in some manner. Trying to cap the valve cover vent off and use ONLY a decompression tube will result in all your oil being blown out the tube all over your driveway. Im glad i didnt take off down the road after i put it on. 2) i have sent questions using the contact seller link on the product page of the Enviromoto site none of which i ever received an answer. one item was for a customers bike. i put the work off in anticipation. the answer never came. i had much to do at the time and did not have time to run down another method of inquiring. i lost the job because i put it off and the customer ultimately didnt have anymore time. dont use the contact seller link on the product use.....whatever else thats there.. i dont know havent looked. Enviromoto has stated here on his review thread 'I think some of them get filtered into my spam folder'. I assume he means questions sent using the contact seller link. An alternative was never provided. If the contact seller link on the item does not work it should not be there IMO. I Base my ratings on a 5 star rating system and after dealing with parts suppliers since 1991 in a professional setting I feel i know how to judge. Enviromotos customer service gets a 0 from me. everything else gets 5 stars with a result of 2.5 stars. I am sorry if this is an unpopular review but it needs to be included just like 5 star ones are. If You feel i have been unfair based on the above please let me know the reasons why you feel as you do. Be safe among the hunger cagers my friends! ;D P.S. You got to vent someplace.
Decompression tubes I have seen are installed in place of the oil dip stick. There should be no need to remove the vent tube on the valve cover, even if you did I would think the decompression tube would handle all the pressure the vent tube did and then some. They do not want you to plug the vent from the valve cover because it is part of the smog controls, and if you take the decompression tube off it will not have anyplace to vent the blow-by from the motor. These are recommended with big bore kits because of the increased compression and because that causes the blow-by to be worse.
When you install one of these you need to run the hose vertically as high as you can so that the oil will drain back into the crankcase, you may even want to put a filter on it so that it will keep the oil from blowing out. I'd consider allowing the rings to seat first also, that will reduce the blow-by.
In the old days, before the first smog equipment (a pvc valve) there was a pipe that vented the crankcase. All the blow by from the motor would just go out that pipe. They also used a vent cap on the oil fill that basically filtered the oil out of the fumes. Eventually the idea to re-circulate those fumes into the air cleaner to try and burn it off better became the positive crankcase ventilation system, this is what that little hose is emulating.
I once had one of those vent caps get plugged with carbon and it caused the pressure to build in the motor and it blew oil out the front main seal like crazy.
As for Jeremies listing, you are right, it does not say for racing only, it probably should since this part is most likely not a street legal piece. I did see the exact same picture and description on Scooterworks and Scooter Parts Place so I'm guessing it is what NCY sent him to use.
