Hey guys. What length are you making those extended mounts? They look to be 3 or 4 inches over the stock location.

The one that bolts through the bottom of the frame and extends rearward to bolt to the front bushing on a 139QMB, Rebel. I'm going to stretch a fifty for the upcoming festivities in May. Thanks Enviro. <RD toddles off to the man cave to strike an arc>.

I got a idea on how to make it work for the QMB. www.motorworldhype.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/sema08_1099.jpg

I asked because most of the projects that I see involving a motor mount are done because they are putting a different motor in the scooter, not just making it longer, sometimes it is also done for the drag scooters just so they won't pop a wheelie as much.. Now the added question is, are you going to pump that puppy up as well as make it longer, and if so, what is the plan, oh and don't forget the pictures. As somebody says, if you do not post pictures, it didn't happen.

O yeah Rebel. All of the above. I'm going to make the the mount longer for drag racing this spring, up at Enviros digs. The wife's been fussing at me for using her camera, not really fussing more of a snide comment. So I said, "Well go buy me one then". And so she did. I'll wait till I get it to do any large fabricating. I'm going to build a jig for it first so it will be nice and straight.

That tire seems a bit excessive for a 50cc to me, I think it would cause a lot of drag just trying to roll it. I'd go bigger only if you can't keep from breaking traction forever. But, what do I know.
