Hey Kliff, how are you bending your exhaust tubing? Looking good. That turbo is darned as big as the one on my car. Nothing like a well tuned turbo engine. ;D

as far as the masking tape goes if you go to a hobbyshop that deals in radio control the sell 6''x8'' masking sheets used to mask lexan bodies they dont stretch unless you reallly yank on them ..... and i think would work great for xeroxing a flange

The "foil" better than pure vinyl....had to find, so I usually go with tape.

Thanks Kliff! They seem to have everything anyone could possibly want tubingwise. Yeah, they're good folks to deal with to. Just got the plenum tubing and silicone connectors in yesterday, orderred last Thurs. Waiting on some parts for another project today, so I'll knock out another flange, and get started on the intake plenum, from the turbo to the head. Then I've got a small flange to make, with 2 connections for cooling water in and out, and 2 hose adaptors to tap water flow both ways. Then I still have the return oil flange, intake flange/manifold to fab, and modify the clutch cover for an oil feed and return port. Buying a turbo is EASY. Fabbing your own "kit" to make it work is the hard part...LOL, but I love it. ;D Gets my mind off of everything else, and sorta suspends me in my own little world. Nutz, huh?

Lookin' good Kliff! I see you use allen type fasteners too. I much prefer them over normal hex bolts. They will fit in areas a regular bolt won't.

The turbo is pre set at a non-adjustable 5psi.....BUT, I'm gonna make an adjustable override, so I can pull a much wider range of boost levels. At 9.8:1 compression though : 9psi will be for exhibition runs on the strip 7psi will be for occassional thrills 5psi will be everyday, "just because I can" boost.

Hey Kliff, a manual boost controller is easy to make. I had one on the Volvo turbo wagon, that I bought, talk about fun. I think normal boost was some where around 6-8 psi, but I could turn it up to around 14psi, but never did, 10-12 psi was plenty. Sure would give those guys in their imports fits. Would pull away from most Camaros and Mustangs at lights. Amazing what it can for an engine. Still have the car, but removed the controller. Started using a little too much oil, but it does have 170,000 miles on it. May rebuild it, and start again. ;D
