Well guys winter is closing in and my project list is getting full. This little jem is a 2006 Honda Ruckus with a few miles on her but over all really good shape. Looks just like this one except in a box. Then I purchased me a 06 Zuma with over 13k on the odo. Starts first kick every time. ;D Now the plan is to use the Zuma front end, Engine, wiring harness, and controls. Get it running good in mockup phase and then go back and build it with paint and performance parts. Should be fairly straight forward build as my test mockup proved the engine could be mounted using the stock motor mounts with some slight modification. There will be some adjustments made to the frame to accommodate the shock mount but that will come later. Test mockup with E-Ton Beemer Engine Eton Motor Ruckus Motor See how similar they look. I cut the 2 stroke motor mount down a little to fit the stock ruckus mount. Bolted up. Not much room left up front but she fits, bought a NCY engine extender to fix this problem and give it a more stock appearance. Its about 2" off to the right but the shock is straight. Ill relocate the shock mount and align it better. This is just a rough draft. I think I have most of everything I need to get started. Now if I can find time in the day tomorrow I may actually post up some progress.

So, I'm wondering. You have two scooters, both appear pretty complete and usable. Why not just mod the Zuma and mod the Ruckus and have two running scooters??
I understand putting a 2T motor in the Ruckus but if I were doing it I'd not take apart a complete and running scooter, I'd just find a motor that was by itself.

Because a good zuma motor and the whole shbang costs way more than what I gave for the Zuma. Who knows maybe Ill put the zuma back together one day. I may use the ruckus motor in one of my other builds.

It's all about stuff Doug.... once you turn the corner and start fabricating, you can never have enough stuff.

I understand stuff, I got more stuff than room for it. I just am too cheap I guess, I'd have fixed the sucker up and sold it if it were worth that much, then I'd have more money for more stuff.

Break out the ol' eyeball here. Hmmmmm I recon I outa do a little choppin' right bout cheer. Ziiiiiiip Well loooooky there fit as a fiddle. The donor zuma was and still is disgusting. Look even some mice called this once prized scooter home. Well still need to swap over the harness, and figure out how to mount the zuma front end on here and then it will be time for tear down and final build.

Are you going to use the stock Ruckus headlight?

And just what is it that you prefer on the Zuma front end over the Ruckus.

And just what is it that you prefer on the Zuma front end over the Ruckus. Front disk brakes and beefier suspension.
