And it's not the first time. I was helping a fellow scooterist with a simple driveability problem he had. Just adjusting the slow speed screw on the carb. Well here's what happened. I put the scooter up on the center stand to let it warm up a bit. When the choke turned off I drove the scoot around the front yard to see what was up. I rode it back to the garage and put it on the kick stand. After attaching a tach, I knelt down on the right side of the scooter. My knee was between the wheels and I reached up to goose the throttle. I forgot it was on the kick stand. The exhaust pipe touched my leg and since the scooter was traveling forward it started to fall over. Trying to save the scooter, by pulling on the handlebars, I gave it more throttle and it ran farther over me. See. The scooter never touched the ground.

Nice save on the scooter, feel the pain on the leg! I cannot imagine how much that smarts! I tell my Wife when I get the burns off the muffler they're my Scooter tattoos... Not stupid, human...

Oh man that has got to hurt. Burns are really painful. I highly recommend going to have it looked at in person.

Thanks for the medical advise Rebel. It's not infected and I'm keeping it clean with antibiotic cream on it. If it looks worse I'll have my GP look at it. I think it's going to leave a mark though. Owell hehe.

I don't know if you can get it over the counter or not but Silvadene is the cream you would probably be advised to use on it.

See a GP during normal hours(way cheaper then the ER)...or a clinic...they'll prescribe Silvadine.
It's worth the office fee. The Silvadine stuff is like magic on burns.

It looks pretty superficial(in the medical sense) to me, usually if it doesn't go through more than the upper layer of skin you should be in pretty good shape, if you don't make it into the doc I'd suggest some triple antibiotic creme like neosporin. Silvadene is Rx only these days and since the federales consider it to be a drug and and a poison it's pretty tightly controlled in most hospitals.

Skin is the first defense for the body against things like dehydration and infection. You do need some kind of antibiotic cream applied to it and depending on what it looks like in person, sometimes it is hard to tell by photographs posted on the internet, you might need an oral antibiotic. I'm not too concerned about dehydration with that size of burn, infection is the biggest concern.
Come to my clinic and I'll get you some silvadene.

Thanks Rebel. Lets see, today's Tue so, I could make it to CA by the weekend. Or was that AZ. Knock 12 off. Well it's not infected, yet. But all that white looking skin in the photo has fallen off and now it's a gooey red mass. I tried to get to the DR today, but he was closed by the time I got off. So I'm off Thur. this week and I'll camp out on his porch Thur. morning. Sorry, all, for the way too much info there.

gooey red mass does not sound good. I'd check and see if there is a walk in clinic you can get in.

Rebel - maybe we need a first aid section. You probably wouldn't approve of this and the FDA certainly wouldn't but I've found that vinyl wallpaper paste is really good on minor cuts and abrasions. Seems to heal up much faster. That was discovered by accident after I raked the back of my hand with a miter saw while trimming a little piece of wood. I wallpapered afterward and healed up really quick. I certainly wouldn't use it on rocketdog's leg.
