I'd suggest starting with the dealer you got it from. Most people have not had a problem like this and after market front shocks are probably not going to be the easiest thing to find.

www.eagleatvparts.com/I went to their parts website but couldn't find front shocks for the Carino. But I did find these. www.eagleatvparts.com/product_info.php?cPath=15&products_id=11234&osCsid=c90b4a76e6398b2cff9b0e6d2e248e59And they looked very close to what I would need and so I took a chance and ordered them. I had to shim with a couple washers and get a couple longer bolts but in the end they just fit. The ride on the scooter is improved way beyond those stock shocks, at least for the weight I'm riding at. Just finished up installing them and going for the "test" ride. Couldn't be happier. Thanks to all for their suggestions. Here are a few pictures.

I ordered a carino about the same time as you. I weigh 230 maybe any way I find the shocks both front and back a bit stiff for me, in fact way too stiff. it is possible the next unit off the assbly line might have a different shock though. hope with out hyjacking the thread, AVTECH have you had the variator on your carino apart yet? I was wondering what weight rollers they have in them. John

John John, Just to clarify a little bit, I have almost 100 lbs on you and I like the "stiffness" of the Carino's suspension. So much so, that I wanted to convert my Capri suspension over to be the same as the Carino. But, I was having trouble locating the stock Carino shocks. Now that I've replaced the front shocks on my Capri, I think I need to do the rear as well. It seems like the Capri was designed for a smaller, lighter person judging by the height and the suspension and the Carino is for a taller beefier person. I haven't had the variator off the Carino yet but I may soon as I am not thrilled with the acceleration. The Capri definately has better acceleration and I want to get the Carino up to par.

Looks like a good solution to your spring problem. Perhaps avtech and jct842 might need to trade shocks so you both can have shocks you like.
