I've been posting as if I have an Ice Bear Zodiac, but it's a Jinling. They're identical as far as I can see. The speedometer shows miles/hour but here in Canada it has to show kilometres/hour. Does anybody know how to change it from MPH to KPH? Mentally it's not a problem, but it's for registration regulations. Thanks

You will have to look for an interment cluster that reads kph and swap it out or get an aftermarket unit and install it

Yeah, changing it out may be your only option. I am surprised they let the scooter be sold in Canada without meeting legal minimums.
I suggest contacting a dealer and asking them about a replacement speedometer.

If it is acceptable, you could install a bicycle speedometer.

Yup,that's what the factory replied this morning when I wrote them ..... it can't be changed from MPH to KmPH.They'll sell me a metric instrument cluster for $160.00. What can you do .... I bought the trike directly from them for $2800.00.Now I'm their hostage!
Thanks Rebel - bicycle speedometer indeed !

I bet that you could have got Jim to order you one for less than that, but then itwould have to go through customs.

For that price you can get several different aftermarket ones that you put a magnet on the wheel or rotor a d program in the tire dia and they are much more accurate

Yeah, one of the reasons I mentioned a bicycle one, you can calibrate if for wheel diameter.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll probably have to go with the factory's offer in order to get the trike safetied for the road. Years ago I used to get my bikes safetied by a mechanic who would do it over the phone. I wonder if he's still alive?

Late as usual but I think he was trying to stay stock the Zodiac is a sweet looking trike. I have one or say my wife has the first one. I then ordered a white one not only the way it performs but it just looks great trying to mickey mouse it would throw it's looks way off IMO. LOL
