I had some wires melt and was wondering are these two wires for the brake light or for when you pull in the lever to start it.

The brake switch completes the circut so there will always be at least 2 wires one in and one out
The complete circut for the brakes serves 2 purposes it lights the light and also allows the starter to engage

I don't understand why my blinkers are opposite in the front. By opposite do you mean when you signal a left turn the right blinker goes on?

yes but I figured it out and I feel stupid but I figured it out.last week I bought a front plastic piece and had to take the blinkers off the old and put them on the new.i wired them right I just put them on the wrong side.cant see the blinkers from where I sit so I never knew they were on wrong.at least I figured it out.talk about something so simple drive you crazy when you know the color coded wires are on right
